4.0 out of 5 stars Mine is Similar - Good Value
I needed a house phone that didn't look like a cell phone. I needed a big phone with big keys. I needed a lighted keypad. I didn't need a phone I could take two miles down the road with me. I didn't need callerID. I own the older version of this phone, the KX-TG2208; the difference is cosmetic. Panasonic phones have been good for me. I wish it had a hold or mute button,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hello...Good Phone for the Price
Good quality phone; no caller ID feature; easy to use; good range from base; voice enhancer makes calls clearer; for the price, this is an excellent telephone; large buttons with lighted keypad make dialing easy.

I didn't need callerID. I own the older version of this phone, the KX-TG2208; the difference is cosmetic. Panasonic phones have been good for me. I wish it had a hold or mute button, so that if I use the restroom while on the phone, nobody's LISTENING, but I've been pleased with the use I've gotten out of the phone. Mine is about two years old now as of this writing. I've actually gotten the version of this that has the answering machine built in to use in the kitchen, but if you have an external answering machine, this one's just as good and is a cheaper alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars a perfect fit, February 23, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
I purchased this phone for my mother, who at 92, needed a simple phone that had buttons that were easy to see and use. This fit the bill perfectly...and it works very well also. It also has an LED to indicate that the phone is on....so she can easily confirm that she pressed the "off" button when she finishes a call.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Buttons - Excellent Sound, January 28, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
I purchased this for my aging parents who needed larger buttons. The phone fit the bill and is very easy to use. No special buttons they can accidently push or configurations that can get messed up.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unmemorable performance, March 27, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
The phone has adequate range and performance, but the "voice enhancer" has to be manually activated, and frankly makes little difference in sound quality. Additionally, the phone has no memory for numbers, other than last number dialed. I'm surprised to find a phone with so many features, and so few conveniences.

I bought this phone about a month ago because it was decently priced, didn't have a lot of features I did NOT need, like multiple handsets, answering machine, or caller ID, and it was a wall mount. I really like the range, the shoulder rest, stays on the cradle securely when you hang it up and my kids like the multiple ring tones. Also the speaker feature is nice when you are making plans with several household members being able to join in. Downside is that you can't take it off speaker once you are on speaker without ending the call first. And using the shoulder rest I have accidentally hung up on someone if I don't position it just right.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone for elderly, July 5, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
This Panasonic cordless phone is the closest I could find to a previous model of the same brand. For my ninety year old mother whose eyesight is extremely impaired, I think all the buttons should be white, especially the on and off button. I also find that she has trouble with the placement of the on/off button when she is talking on the phone -- her cheek often presses the button and the phone goes off. Otherwise I am happy with this purchase. Big white buttons for numbers are great. The on/off, flash, and volume buttons would be easier to read if they were white. I placed velcro near these buttons so she could feel where they are. I know the regular model phone is much easier to read, but she likes the cordless because she can access it easily from her walker.

This phone works with wireless networks, has the big buttons so my older parents can use it comfortably.... I own this one, and the model with the answering machine, and we use them both daily and they have held up very well in my opinion!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good phone for elderly people, December 7, 2007

I bought this phone for my grandma and she likes it! It's a simple basic phone, has no fancy functions to confuse her. Big buttons and lighted keypad are very handy for her arthritic hands and bad vision. The speaker and the headset volume are loud enough for her to hear clearly. It's light and comfortable to hold, the belt clip is a plus. It's a little expensive for a basic phone, but there are very few alternatives to choose from for elderly people.

1.0 out of 5 stars "Factory Inspected" means the product is not NEW., November 16, 2007
By
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
Panasonic KX-TG2302B 2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange Big Button Digital Cordless Telephone Amazon offered this product for sale as NEW. The box had a label tape, "FACTORY INSPECTED", that had to be broken to remove the telephone. Prior experience told me this was a REFURBISHED OR RETURNED PRODUCT and would only carry a 90 day warranty instead of their usual one year warranty. I called Panasonic and they confirmed my suspicions. Communications with Amazon resulted in Amazon warranting the product for one year. Amazon said they would look into this problem. I haven't heard back from them in three weeks. Amazon needs to correct this serious breech. Products such as this do not sell for as much as NEW PRODUCTS. I feel I've been cheated.
