This phone system works fine. It does what it advertises and has some nice features BUT there are a couple minor things that have driven me to really hate this phone over the past several months.

First of all, I use a headset on almost all my calls and the belt clip will not stay attached to the phone. I have dropped this phone countless times (which tells you it can take a beating), but have had to resort to taping the belt clip on.

Second, the ring tones are not great. There are a few melodic ones that sound really nice at first, but since the handset rings a few seconds behind the base, you get an annoying clash of sound every time the phone rings. There are only a couple plain ringtones and I personally found these pretty grating as well.
* You do have the option of shutting off the handset ringer, but then you can't page it when you lose it.

Third, by the time the talking caller id kicks in, the answering machine is about to pick up. I have a voicemail that picks up when I'm on the other line, so I have to keep the answering machine set at 4 rings. The talking caller id doesn't kick in until the third ring. If you don't have any conflicting technology, this won't be an issue for you.

So, in a nutshell, it is a decent phone/answering machine, but annoying enough that I am shopping for a new one!

great wall phone, It is not easy to get and old fashion wall phone, this one fits the bill! great, close to the wall , not out by inches,Great product! The again it`s a Panasonic!
