The KX-TG2388B utilizes 2.4 GHz bandwidth, providing your calls with improved security and reduced interference compared to 900 MHz signal transmission. The system also makes use of frequency-hopping digital spread spectrum technology, so it constantly "hops" through available channels to maintain a clear connection.
Bone Conductive Technology
The handset features a bone conduction earpiece that uses vibrations to transmit sound. Bone conduction technology may help people with conductive hearing loss to hear phone conversations more easily. It may also be helpful for people working in noisy environments.
Announcing Names and Numbers Makes Operation A Snap
When you press a button on the base or handset keypad, a synthesized voice will announce what button you pressed to ensure that you are using the correct number or function. And after you program names and numbers into your phone book, every time you want to retrieve a previously programmed number, that name and number will be announced so that you don't even have to look at or read the LCD screen. Just listen for the correct name and tap the call button.
Hear Who's Calling Without Answering The Phone
With Talking Caller ID (available automatically with subscription to local Caller ID service), you don't have to get up to see who's calling-the phone will tell you. Panasonic cordless phones are the only cordless phones to incorporate true text-to-speech technology used in conjunction with your Caller ID service. I have bought many phones over the past year for our automotive repair shop and this is the one we finally stuck with. It is loud enough that my husband can hear over the other noise in the shop and the ringer is nice and loud too. We love the variety of ring tones we get to choose from & the different choices for how many the answering machine will pick up on. You can choose anywhere from 1 to 7. We have similar phones at home and we've had them for years and love them too. The only difference is they don't have the Bone Conduction Technology.

The item listed proved to be much more than I expected. Panasonic was in the severasl times I chose their product everything they promise it would be.
