This is the best phone I have ever owned. The reception is is great. The speakerphone feature works great too, it is nice and clear from both sides when speaking, no breaking up. It has nice melodies to choose from. There is one I love and use that doesn't scare me from my sleep like the regular ringing from my old phone did. It was easy to register my other handset also. I am very happy with this telephone.

I actually have the 5202M which is the same phone, but with an additional hand set. This phone works great! The CallerIQ is the only odd feature because to use if effectively you have to call into a service which appears to cost about $10 per month. The reception is very good but I can't go more than about 50 yards from the house before it starts loosing reception. Within the house it is perfect. The speaker phone is great on the handset as well. I didn't think I would use the feature, but for long hold times or sharing a converstation or just working hands free, it works great. I am giving it four stars because when you add a handset they don't seem to "work together" in the sense that if you pick up the call on one hand set, the other hand set logs it as a missed call.

Check out the below (cut and past into your browser address) - all of these panasonic phones have problems. This is about a pending class action lawsuit against Panasonic.http://www.sheller.com/Practice.asp?PracticeID=140

Honestly the signal range is very bad, at about 50 feet there's no signal if there's a couple of walls between.

I had been using an old 900mhz phone that was dying quickly, so I set out to buy a new 5.8ghz phone. I have an Apple Airport set up for my WiFi, and the phone needs to sit near the base station. I had a Panasonic Cordless phone once and it lasted FOREVER!. I had that phone for over 10 years, but then one day I started getting to much interference, so I switched to another brand, and then another. Finally I bought this model and am THRILLED with it. No defects, no problems, great quality. I especially appreciate the fact that you can actually set a pleasant ring tone on it that wont cause you to jump out of your skin. I LOVE that fact!

Interference from other electronics is a severe problem - I had to return this item for a refund. If you can locate it several feet from any other electronics, it might work for you, but who wants a phone that you cannot place on your desktop, near a computer?

Great phone - Great Price. Does not interfere at all with my wireless setup. Only one problem (this is the reason I gave only 4 stars instead of 5), the keyboard and screen light goes off to fast. Also Amazon had a great price...

The Panasonic cordless phones are the best ones out there. They look great and the sound is crystal clear. They are comfortable to hold and the battery life is good. They may cost a little bit more than other brands, but you get what you pay for. The 5.8 GHz will not interfere with 2.4 GHz wireless routers.

Just purchased this phone from Amazon for less than 45 bucks! I love the look and feel of this phone. It works everywhere in my home. I purchased the very same phone in white about a year ago for around 80 bucks. This is a steal! If the price comes up, grab it!
