Great Phone,

This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG5761S 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Expandable Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
For me the most important feature of a phone is the quality of the sound. I found this phone(s) system to works perfectly. Trading up from an old Panasonic system was well worth the price. The clarity of the sound was amazing. As a senior citizen, my hearing is pretty bad at the high frequencies. With my old system I could barely understand the caller using the hand phone or the speaker phone. No problems now. After getting the speaker base went back to get an additional phone. Other aspects of the system which are great: Compact; Good looks; Ease of use;

Very good product,

This phone has excellent sound quality and range. It's easy to use too. My only complaint is that it is not shipped with a wall mount adapter, which required a separate order from Panasonic. This small plastic part probably only cost them a few cents, but it cost me over $8 with shipping.

Once upon a time, my roommates and I had a Panasonic phone that had fallen into a 5 gallon bucket of liquid laundry soap. We took it apart, dried it off, put it back together and it continued to work for another 3 years!! This is just the kind of quality that I have come to expect from Panasonic and that's just what I got in this handset. I bought this phoneset as a replacement to a set I won through a contest at work. As a telecommunications employee, I won a contest for a "top-of-the-line" phone that only lasted about 2 years! returning to a quality Panasonic product was very refreshing. The personalized ringtone feature was an added bonus. With flexibility, quality, reliability, and ease-of-use, this is the phoneset for me. Take it from somone who works for a telecommunications company.... your service is only as good as your equipment and this is the best quality equipment on the market!

I bought this phone and its corresponding add-on headset to use with my Vonage service. With Vonage I only have one phone "jack" but wanted multiple phone locations, and this does the trick. My favorite features are the speaker-phone in the headset itself as well as the base unit, and also the caller-id announce (can hear who's calling before even getting up to read the caller ID). It seems to have good range in my house so far (2500sf).

My third Panasonic phone,

I use this with 3 extensions so I don't have to hassle with phone jack locations and table top clutter. It has neat features like distinctive ring tones and talking caller ID. The only negative is the base station phones do not come with belt clip or wall mount bracket. They can be purchased separately from Panasonic. The belt clips are $.90 with $4.95 S & H.

I did a ton of research on wireless, expandable phones before settling on this one and after receiving it, my time was well spent. Being in a multi-story dwelling, this phone has become invaluable. I use the base unit in an upstairs room with five handsets. I even have a phone in my detached garage and the reception is crystal clear. I would highly recommended. Tip: If speaker phone does not work on initial set-up, simply unplug power cord and phone jack cord from base unit then plug everything back in. That will save a call to Panasonic.

This phone is extremely simple to set-up and add additional handsets to. The handsets do not require connections to phone jacks themselves as they work of the base unit. The phone has a neat feature which allows to record songs as rings to several different numbers in your phone book. Not those dorky fake songs that come with cell phones either, honest to goodness songs you can record right from your iTunes or stereo. The phone address book is easy to add to direct from the caller id. And for those who work from home as I do, the base has speakerphone with mute so you can dial into those conference calls and multitake without having to worry about holding a handset to your ear or a lot of background noise.

This product does everything I want and does it well. We have four handsets located around a 4,400 square foot house. It is less attractive than the newer V-tech, which I would look at if I were purchasing today (though I have had bad past experience with V-tech wearing out early). One flaw in the Panasonic: the intercom will only call specific handsets; you cannot call them all at once. So far, I am very satisfied with the product.

Problems with call clarity,
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG5761S 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Expandable Digital Cordless Telephone (Office Product)
I have always had Panasonic phones. They had hard use in my business, but never any problems, so that's why I bought another one! Have only been using this one for a few weeks, and people consistently tell me that they can barely hear me. The call starts out just fine, then the sound/clarity goes awry. Another problem is that it cuts out periodically during the call like a cell phone (it's not call waiting). So this one is getting returned.

Panasonic's Terrible Return Policy,

The phone lasted 2 days when the speaker went out. I called Panasonic and they said to unplug & plug the phone back in. This works but I have to do it about every other time I use the speaker. If you return this phone you do NOT get a new phone. You get a refurbished phone. Also you have to go without the base unit until they send you another unlike a lot of companies who send you a new one with a box to return the old phone. I only buy Panasonic phones and this is the first time one has gone bad. This is a terrible return policy. If a phone breaks within 2 weeks you should get a new phone, not a phone that has been overhauled.
