5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate cordless phone
I purchased this cordless phone in March 2007 after being unable to find it at local retailers (or on their web sites). The design and features are superb. It's smaller than Panasonic's prior versions, with no antenna nub. Key features are: good battery life (NiMH), built-in speaker phone, and headphone jack. Great voice quality (thanks for other reviewers' comments). It...

The wall-mount option is a kludge. Instead of fitting flat against the wall, the phone sticks out (in exactly the same orientation as pictured). Not especially great for the under-cabinet location in the kitchen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Many features for a basic phone, June 27, 2007

I have been fully satisfied with this phone, which replaced one blown out by a lightning strike. I was pleasantly surprised to discover it has a speaker-phone option. Charges quickly, battery holds charge longer than old phone. Easy to use and comfortable handset. Excellent value for the price.

EXTREMELY easy to set up and easy to use. You can program it to have different ringtones for family and friends so you know who's calling before you look at the caller ID. Nice compact base. Overall, one of the best cordless phones I have ever owned.

The numbers in the display are too small. You want to be able to read the number of an incoming call at a glance, and this display is too small.

I'm not a big "features" guy so this phone was perfect. It's very simple and gives clear reception from almost any distance.
I would highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still my favorite cordless, November 8, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG6021M 5.8 GHz Expandable Digital Cordless Phone (Office Product)
I bought this phone to replace my older model panasonic 2.4GHz cordless. I loved my old one and this one is a nice progression for the phone. It sounds great, easy to use, rubber keys for easy dial grip, no external antenna, great white display, the list goes on. Only negative I think is the all plastic body which (slippery) needs some rubber side pads to grip and make the handset easier to hold. Hope that will be coming on the next model. Rubber keys are a start. Otherwise, the menu is easy and no overly complicated features. Everything I need in a phone.

It's hard to find a phone that is just a phone. I got this for my in laws (over 65) and they love the simple basic function and the quality of sound.

We've had Panasonic cordless phones over the years and this one is the best of all. Exceptional battery life on a 7 hour charge. Exceptional voice clarity. Easy to use 4 way selector control and software menus. This system can also be expanded, as we plan to do, as our other aging phones make their last call. Overall, an excellent choice for a basic cordless phone with caller ID.

My old phone worked fine, except when I used it in the backyard. I only bought this because that is what I needed, distance. Ends up it's a great little phone. Small footprint on my desk, it's a speaker phone, very user friendly, just a great phone and would have been at twice the price. And as for using it in my backyard, works as if I'm standing next to the base station.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good phone, no belt-clip, October 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TG6021M 5.8 GHz Expandable Digital Cordless Phone (Office Product)
The phone works great, and looks cool. The only problem is that it doesn't have a belt clip that you can put on the phone to make it easier to use with a headset. Pretty big issue for use in my home, but I can see why they didn't do it; the phone sits on the cradle face up and the belt clip would probably keep it from recharging.

But maybe if they could have designed the cradle a bit differently, it might have all worked.

If you don't care about a belt clip option and don't want an answering machine, this is a good solid cordless phone with great range.
