Including a convenient recharging base, this handset functions only as an addition to your existing Panasonic model KX-TG2352W or KX-TG2382B expandable phone system; this handset matches the black base station but allows users the flexibility of having different colors in different rooms while all being part of the same system.
Each handset can connect to another for use as an in-house intercom and includes a backlit, three-line LCD that provides access to caller ID and call-waiting information (with subscription to local service). Thirty names and numbers may be stored and redialed at the touch of a single button, while a separate 30-station phonebook gives access to your most frequently dialed numbers. Three-way conference calls are available via a single button. When the battery starts running low, you'll know instantly, thanks to the indicator light on the LCD. Each handset is supplied with a digital duplex speakerphone, permitting hands-free calls with none of the annoying echoes of earlier speakerphone models.
The handset uses the 2.4 GHz frequency with digital spread spectrum technology, which "skips" constantly through a range of available channels to reduce interference and to provide improved security against eavesdropping. Panasonic includes a one-year warranty covering parts and service.

The KX-TGA230 is designed for use only with Panasonic's KX-TG2352W or KX-TGA230B expandable cordless telephone systems. Its 2.4 GHz frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology randomly changes frequencies several times per second, which helps to eliminate cross-talk and accidental eavesdropping when multiple handsets are in use. With call waiting/caller ID (which requires subscription to fee-based phone company services) and 30-station memory, the LCD displays the name and number of incoming callers even when you're on another call.
The three-line multifunction LCD lets you see all caller ID information without scrolling. Also, back lighting on the handset LCD aids visibility in low light situations. A digital handset speakerphone helps reduce the echo and dropout commonly found in speakerphones. Up to 30 names and telephone numbers can be stored alphabetically and quickly accessed for dialing via the handset's navigator key.
Using three-way conferencing you can connect two other calls for a three-party conference right from the handset. Six selectable ring tones let you choose from a variety of alerts for incoming calls. A low-battery indicator on the LCD lets you know when its time to recharge the battery, and a two-way intercom lets you contact any other extension in the system at the push of a button at the base unit of one of the handsets.

I love this handset... goes with my Panasonic phone system KX-TG2382B. The handsets with this system are larger than the newer ones, easier to use and read, and the system itself along with the original 2 handsets has lasted me for well over ten years now. I ordered this third handset because I needed another phone in my garage and it's working out perfectly!And the company I ordered it from is called Savingspree. They are the best! Bought to supplement my two other phones of the same type. After some searching, thankfully I was able to find this phone on Amazon. These are the best cordless phones I have ever used.
