This machine does everything I ever wanted, and more:Have you ever had to wade through 20 saved messages, Panasonic's KX-TM150B lets you go immediately Many other machines force you to play an entire If you've ever been frustrated by slow operations The 50-memory Caller ID matches up with each recorded Did you know that you can edit the During any live phone conversation, The number of rings before answering can be set to The voice menus and prompts are very intelligent, I've installed four of these in different places, Flash memory saves messages indefinitely, even if AC I have experienced over two years of flawless performance

Basic Answering Machine That Works,
By A Customer
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TM150B Digital Answering System with Caller ID (Office Product)
The machine works well and very easy to operate. You need to learn a few buttons and you are up and running. The greeting message quality is excellent. The machine provides caller ID info which is very nice. You can also re-dial numbers from the caller ID info. You can check your messages while out from remote phones. The messages are stored in memory and do not delete with a power failure. The speaker quality is good but not great. However, I am very happy with the outgoing greeting message and that is what everyone hears. Overall, a good investment.

Satisfied. But there is room for improvement...,

I had this machine for about a month now.Just two things that I don't like: The sound could be improved. I can certanly understand the messages but my former 10 year old tape based answering machine sounded better. It would be nice if they added a built in light in the Caller ID screen (like in cell phones) Other than that not bad for what it costs.

Not Bad for $ 35.00 USD,
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TM150B Digital Answering System with Caller ID (Office Product)
Hey, I did order this one and it was the last one left on Amazon for $34.99 with free shipping TO BOOT. It got here in less than 48 Hrs. As for the sound quality, not much different from the Panasonic "tape" machine that crapped out on me after 14 years. While recording your greeting, don't get too close to the mic, which is hidden under where it says mic on the bottom of this unit, over-modulation ( distortion ) generally, a bad sounding greeting will be the result. It works fine and the poor sound others have mentioned is false. Works just fine, if you need a $1000.00 machine, go buy one !!!! GREAT DEAL FOR THE MONEY SPENT !! Voice prompts built into this device are an easy setup and playback from remote calls. The only drawback is Only 15 Min. of rec. time. Thats good for me, maybe not you. On the road the "voice prompts" prompt you for anything you want to do from listening to messages, to totally wiping them all out. No real need to carry a remote command card in your wallet/purse, it asks you what you want to do. You can skip old calls and get to "only" the new ones as well. BEST BUY FOR THE BUCKS !! VERY EASY TO USE !!!

Great quality, please disregard incorrect information...,
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TM150B Digital Answering System with Caller ID (Office Product)
For the reviewer who commented that the display was soft plastic and scratched easily, it should have been completely obvious that this was only a tear-off protective covering for the real hard plastic display. The display is excellent, very sturdy, and I have yet to scratch it.
My only criticism is that all of the digital machines these days have poor high frequency response (due to low bit-rate recording and poor antialiasing) which makes softer voices or those who mumble a little bit hard to understand. This machine is no different, I also own a GE digital and find some people are completely unintelligible. However this machine offers FAR superior features to any other digital machine I've used, is more intuitive (like a cassette machine), and does sound quite good for most voices. I actually find it's sound to be better than my GE even though I've read otherwise by some people. I think some people think louder is better (which can be I suppose), but I prefer intelligibility. Actually I like both, but that is hard to find with digital machines under $100.

Decent unit for the first year,
This review is from: Panasonic KX-TM150B Digital Answering System with Caller ID (Office Product)
This unit is nothing fancy but worked fine for the first year. The caller ID screen is small and difficult to read without proper lighting. After a year the recorded messages were choppy and difficult to understand. Repair from Panasonic would cost more than the unit itself.

I must confess that I am prompted to write this review mainly because my experiences with the Panasonic KX-TM150B telephone answering machine are in sharp contrast to some of the other users' stated findings. My main disagreement is in the matter of the unit's ease of use. Although this is a highly subjective area to comment on, I believe that here in the 21st century we can make a few generalized assumptions and judgements about the user interfaces of consumer electronics products, because we now have a fairly long history of consumer products with which to compare against. When you consider the spectacular array of useful features that this device provides, I feel that it would be extremely difficult to design it with a more straightforward layout. All of the buttons are clearly labeled, and the LCD display as well as voice prompts guide you through all of the setup and operation functions. If someone finds the labeling and pleasant voice prompts insufficient, the instruction manual that comes with the unit takes every setup and operational function and provides a crystal-clear step-by-step guide that anyone who can read English at the fourth-grade level and above will have absolutely no problem in comprehending. The frequently-used buttons are quite large, and the less-used setup buttons are smaller, as one would logically expect. ALL buttons are placed over 1/2 inch apart when measured from their centers. I would very much like to meet a person who is unable to press the buttons independently, as this person would likely need to be about fourteen feet tall in order to have fingers that are so large as to be unable to independently press the buttons. Anyone who is still unsure about the unit's ease of use is welcome to download a free .pdf copy of the instruction manual at Panasonic's website. I am confident that a quick glance at the manual will alleviate any fears that may remain regarding this unit's stunningly simple and logical control layout. Regarding the unit's overall quality, it is in keeping with Panasonic's well-deserved reputation for excellence in consumer products. After several months of use it has yet to have the slightest problem or generate any error whatsoever.

This machine was fairly easy to set up. I like it when the instructions are clear, and these are. When I read the other reviews, I noticed that some people pointed out that it's necessary to not speak too close to the microphone when recording the greeting -- I heeded that warning, and everything has worked just fine. I really like the feature of the machine holding the last 50 phone numbers of callers -- my old answering machine only held one. My only quibble is that the LED display is just a bit small, and I have to hold it just so in order to read it. That problem may be solved by getting a new pair of glasses. :)

Very poor sound quality,

It has very nice features but the sound quality is very poor. You can't hear a thing. It is very muffled. I am going to try the AT&T 1760 Digital Answering System and see if that is any better.

The messages are hard to hear. It doesn't seem to record them very well, because they can be somewhat garbled and they are always very low in volume.
