Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

A good choice for home offices, the Panasonic KX-TC1891 is a two-line phone with plenty of flexible features. Its 900 MHz operation provides clear connections and a longer-than-average range, while the long-life battery extends your conversation time to as long as six hours. Panasonic's digital spectrum spread technology keeps your calls safe from eavesdropping by automatically shifting frequencies every second. The digital answering system supplies an automatic date/time stamp and records up to 15 minutes of messages. A full menu of voice prompts will walk you through both use and setup. Three-way conference calling, digital duplex speakerphones, volume controls for ringer and handset, and 50-station memory for both caller ID and your phone directory finish off the package. Panasonic includes a one-year warranty on parts and service.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy this phone, November 27, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Panasonic KXTC1891 900 MHz DSS 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID & Answering Device (Black) (Office Product)
After doing extensive research, I settled on this phone and am truly sorry that I did. Everyone I speak to asks if I have them on speaker phone, the answering machine is cumbersome to operate, and reception is spotty if I walk into the next room (which defeats the fact that this is a cordless phone!).

Do yourself a favor - don't get this product. I am never again going to buy panasonic. When will someone make a good cordless/answering machine??

3.0 out of 5 stars good features, poor audio quality, November 23, 2001

This review is from: Panasonic KXTC1891 900 MHz DSS 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID & Answering Device (Black) (Office Product)
This is a very good, full featured phone. However, if
you haven't used a digital recorder before, you should
listen to one before buying. There's a lot of static and the
sound sometimes breaks up if the caller isn't speaking
very loudly. This can make it hard to understand
messages.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor phone, January 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Panasonic KXTC1891 900 MHz DSS 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID & Answering Device (Black) (Office Product)
Made a mistake sticking with the usually reliable Panasonic brand.
1) Handset broke within 1 year
2) Dropped signal walking to the next room
3) Awkward controls for answering machine
