From the Manufacturer
The KX-FLB751 is a valuable business tool for the small office/home office user. Combining the functionality of a fax machine, scanner, copier, and printer in one, it's a convenient device for nearly any office-related task. Make copies from books or odd-size documents or import high-resolution images into reports or presentations.
Connected to a computer, the scanner will import images at an extremely crisp 1,200 dpi resolution and it recognizes up to 55 different languages, thanks to the included Readiris 5.5 Pro (full version) OCR software.
Copies can be made from the flatbed, or from pages inserted into the sheet feeder. Up to 99 copies can be made from one original and images can be enlarged or reduced. Additionally, this model will collate multiple-sheet documents, so copied pages stay in the original order.
In addition to tackling copying and scanning tasks, the KX-FLB751 is also a full-service fax machine. Incoming fax messages are printed clearly with 64 shades of halftone resolution. Choose from fine, superfine, or photo resolutions, depending on the document being sent. Its 33.6 Kbps modem permits speedy transmissions, helping to keep phone bills and time spent to a minimum.
Although the unit's 150-sheet paper tray is easy to keep stocked, 150 pages of built-in memory will come in handy for those occasions when the cassette is empty. Other value-added faxing features include delayed transmission, useful for sending faxes when phone rates are cheaper; auto-redial; and 20-station broadcasting for simultaneously sending a fax to multiple recipients.
The innovative KX-FLB751 also incorporates a full-feature telephone, complete with an electronic phone directory and volume control. A 112-station speed dial has enough memory to store 112 of the user's most frequently used fax/phone numbers, which can then be accessed via a convenient navigator key. This key lets users effortlessly scroll through and choose from preprogrammed fax numbers shown on the display. To place the call, just push the Start key.
This model also has distinctive-ring detection, so users can easily tell the difference between incoming fax and voice calls. Additionally, an extension-line transfer feature allows an incoming fax to be transferred to any extension on the same line.
