Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This sophisticated thermo pot from Panasonic safely and automatically boils water for beverages and food, then keeps it warm throughout the day. Sized for 3.2 quarts, the pot features a 27-minute boiling time and three distinct keep-warm settings--208 degrees F for soups, 185 degrees F for tea, and 140 degrees F for baby formula. The dispenser is electronically controlled with the simple touchpad--this couldn't be easier to operate--while a separate button lets you lock the dispenser to keep little hands safe. The controls also feature a long boil setting, a reboil setting, and a 6-hour timer.

Easy to use and structurally handy, the thermo pot is compact and tidy with a full-access opening, removable lid, and useful handle. The whole pot swivels 360 degrees on its base, and a floating indicator make tracking water levels simple. The power cord removes for storage, and the nonstick interior is clearly marked with appropriate fill lines. For added safety, Panasonic builds in overheat protection that automatically cuts power if the unit boils dry. Standing 11 by 8-1/2 by 10-3/4 inches, the pot is UL listed and carries a 1-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product! No Problems! Avoid the Zoji!, February 26, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic NC-EM30P 3.2-Quart Thermo Pot (Kitchen)
I would avoid the Zojirushi for the prolems listed below. I've had this Panasonic Thermo Pot a couple of years and use it all the time. It never has had a problem with the lid rusting. The pump is very quiet and Everything on it works great. Would buy again.

UPDATE The one the that the other party got and lid is rusting must of been a fluke. I have three different Panasonic thermal pot and have never had a rusting problem. I would avoid the Zojirushi: The electronic pump is very noisy and goes out of order after a couple of years

5.0 out of 5 stars Instant hot water, July 4, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic NC-EM30P 3.2-Quart Thermo Pot (Kitchen)
Iam loving the convience this product has brought me. I make french press coffee with it, so I now get a better cup and fast. My wife after a month has also said she is glad I bought it, she makes coffee and brews her tee for ice tee. I found other brands for more moeny and one for less but the less did not give you three tempature choices that this one has and 208 is the perfect temp for great coffee.

5.0 out of 5 stars among my top five kitchen gadgets, June 13, 2008
This review is from: Panasonic NC-EM30P 3.2-Quart Thermo Pot (Kitchen)
We bought this after using similar ones in Asia, and feel it's one of the best things we ever put on the kitchen counter. It gets used constantly - for hot drinks mostly, but for all kinds of other things like a quick shot of hot water for deglazing a frypan. I like the timer, for energy saving reasons. So far it's worked perfectly. The only problem is that if you try dispensing water immediately after it's boiled, the pump gets air-locked. Too many bubbles in the dispensing tube, and the water nearly trickles to a stop. This problem disappears if you wait a couple of minutes. I suspect it has something to do with our altitude (4500 feet) where water boils at temperatures well below the sea-level 212 degrees. Perhaps the thermostat allows the kettle to over-boil? Overall, I love having this thing.
