This is a great product!,

This product is great. I have tried several of these air or jar pot water heaters and all of them have been very convenient. I particularly like the capacity and design of this model. The quality is also very high. The multiple temperature settings are a new feature to me and one that I appreciate having. I would recommend this Panasonic model highly to anyone for home or office.

I really didn't think I would find something that would hold this much water and keep it super hot all day long. It is so wonderful for my mom, who is vision impaired, since she can see the red light(at least I think she can)and the buttons are big enough for her to press on her own. The unit can be filled up in the morning and she can have hot tea all day long without having to fill or spill anything herself. It's really great! So easy to use, an almost blind person can use it!
Oh I forgot to mention.... Because of the distance from the water spout to the counter I decided to put one of my small souffle dishes underneath(upside down), since it has a flat bottom. Its the perfect height to put a cup on top so it sits just under the spout. Now there's no need for my mom to actually hold the cup while she is pressing the button and no splashes at all. You can still just put the cup on the counter, but may get a tiny bit of splash. Or if you are able to just hold the cup with one hand and press the button with the other it works fine too.

While it looks large (and it is), this pot only takes about as much room as a tea kettle on your counter. And unlike a tea kettle, you don't have to wait for the water to heat up. I use it for tea, coffee in a French press, ramen noodles, and any time I need hot water in a hurry--which is more often than you think. Additionally it's well made, and in a year of full-time use, has not given me any troubles whatsoever. I recommend it without reservation.

Panasonic NC-EM40P 4.1-Quart Electric Thermo Pot,

This Panasonic Thermo Pot is an absolute gem! Not only does it hold a substantial amount of water, it heats it quietly and very quickly. (The pot that I had before [it was a different brand] would make very loud noises when heating the water.) The multiple water temperature option comes in handy for those in the household who need the higher temperature (i.e., for instant soup) or prefer their beverages extra hot. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this pot is more compact and takes up less space on my counter than the 3 qt pot it replaced, in spite of the fact that it holds 4 quarts. I highly recommend this product!

Great product -- I use it more than I thought I would.,

I am an avid tea drinker, and I purchased this thermal pot so that I would always have hot water available for a "quick" cup. There are three temperature settings (205, 185 and 140 degrees), and the 185 degree is perfect for tea. I use the 6hr "sleep" setting before going to bed, and I still have hot water for breakfast tea. At first I thought that the 4qt size might be a bit large, but it turns out to be just about right.
The unit is very well built, and the features are well-thought-out. Whenever you need hot water -- it's right at hand. I love it.

General speaking, it is a very good product. I have its previous version Thermo Pot for about 12 years. The only thing I don't like or feel inconvenient is that if you set temperature to be 185f and pouring cold water it did not reset to boiling temperature. You have to manually set to 208 and after it is boiling, you need to set it back to the temperature you want.

The pot keeps water at 145, great for individual cups of green and white tea
all day. There are 185 and 205 for black teas and coffee.

I had an old panasonic one for over 16 years, and the manual pump finally broke(it still pumped, but it made a squeeking noice when we use it), so we decided to get the new model. It works excellent, and we really love it.

I purchased the 4 Liter version to replace my 3 Liter which died from water leaking into the electronics. Seems these Panasonic ones don't have quite as good of protection as the more expensive ones, like Zojirushi. Never-the-less, for the price I was willing to give them another chance. So far so good after about a year.

Great product; very convenient; works as it should. Excellent for instant coffee, tea, instant rice or potatoes. Use whenever hot water from the tap is needed. Easy instructions to follow; child safe lock to protect against an accidental scalding. Easy to refill; My wife and I both love the product. However, the cord that plugs into the unit is easy to disengage if the unit is bumped or moved. This has left us with luke warm water several times...I would buy another !!
