Great for workplace,

We got this for our office's kitchen. It's so easy to use. The dial makes it easy. People used to unknowingly program different levels and then you couldn't get a simple cup of coffee reheated. I cooks the food evenly without an extra spinning plate to clean.

Bought this for the office- after two with more features broke. Keypad microwaves can be hard to figure out (enter the *weight*? Really?) for just reheating stuff. This one goes all the way to 6, with a big old analog dial. When your six-minutes-or-less are done, a mechanical bell goes "ding!" like there's a tricycle coming through. That's all it does, and that's what we need it to do. Seems very very sturdy.

The microwave works great and I love that it doesn't include yet another clock in our kitchen. My only issue is that you are always turning the dial to zero after taking food out, otr it runs with nothing in the microwave. Would be neat if the knob popped out when you opened the door and you had to reset the timer.

Cheap Dial,
This review is from: Panasonic NE-1024 1000 Watt Dial Control Microwave Oven
For as expensive a microwave as this is, you'd expect the dial to at least be done right. It's a flimsy piece of plastic that rotates with little jerks and "sticks" in certain spots. Furthermore the microwave won't even kick on until the dial is turned to at least 30 seconds, and will occasionally stop with no ding at the 15 second mark.
it's really too bad. It's quite simple and well-made otherwise. |
