Mine is Fine!, November 20, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic NN-H624BF 1250-Watt 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot Microwave Oven, Black (Kitchen)
I've had this Panasonic microwave for about 3 years now. It still works as well as the day I bought it. I use it daily, mainly for jobs like reheating, cooking frozen meals, thawing food, and baking potatoes.
The interior is 14 inches square with a 13 inch turntable, and a little more than 8 inches high. It's easy to clean. If you need to clean off spatters, the trick is to put a wet sponge in it first for about 45 seconds. This sterilizes the sponge and the steam softens the gunk, making it easy to wipe off
The only downside is that you can't turn off the beeps that signal the cooking has stopped. It beeps 5 times, every time. I knew this when I bought it, but had hoped that the reviewer who pointed it out was wrong. He wasn't!
If you are coming from an older microwave, be aware that this once cooks much faster and hotter than you might be used to. Don't burn yourself!

Good... For Only 1.5 Years, July 29, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic NN-H624BF 1250-Watt 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot Microwave Oven, Black (Kitchen)
I got this microwave a year and a half ago. It worked well initially, heating items up faster than others. But last week, the microwave died on me, after only 1.5 years (which is very poor performance for a microwave- many have been known to last 10 years). The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because when it worked, it worked well. But I would not recommend this microwave.

Dynomite Microwave Oven, January 1, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic NN-H624BF 1250-Watt 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot Microwave Oven, Black (Kitchen)
This microwave is absolutely incredible. It has a nice design, sufficiently large interior and because it no longer has the large and heavyweight components (like the older microwaves), I can move it by myself, plus it is smaller overall, so it doesn't take up as much counterspace. The best thing about this microwave oven, however, is what you actually purchase it for - speed in cooking your items. It makes the very best popcorn you can get anywhere in 2 minutes or less - all of the kernals are popped and nothing is burned (it doesn't get much better). Water boils in 2 minutes and the defrost feature is unsurpassed. Last, but not least, the cost cannot be matched. If you search for microwaves in the price range that this one sells in, you would be hardpressed to find another with this amount of power, size and number of features, especially in a brandname such as Panasonic.
It is amazes me some reviewers think a microwave should last forever and maybe I am just jaded because I thought that way about my Maytag Neptune - but then we paid $1000 for it, whereas, you are paying less than $100 for an absolutely terrific microwave. The only difference is if it breaks, it is less expensive to just purchase a brand new microwave, rather than have it repaired. . .seems like most small appliances have gone that route. If you want to pay alot more for a microwave, you most certainly can, but it won't last any longer, so you will be out alot more money when it dies.
