had this for 5 years now!, December 31, 2006
This charger is excellent; The batteries don't get hot; I have charged with this so many times, I still have the original batteries. I like the fact that it does not need an adapter; this goes straight into your outlet and it charges in four to five hours. either AA or AAA or a pair of both. I do wish that it would have a memory, due to if you knock it out of the socket, it seems to start the process ALL over again. But just stay away from the socket and put this where it won't be touched. otherwise EXCELLENT BUY, if you can find it.

Perfect Panasonic Product!, November 28, 2006
I have had nothing but stellar performance from the charger and the batteries. I have been using the same ones for 4 years and they still hold their charge and have a much longer lifetime in my digital camera than any standard NiMH battery. I can use the batteries in my digital camera for about 4 days with regular use before they die.
The only downside is having to wait the 4 or 5 hours for the battery to charge and the heaviness of the charger can be an issue in worn electrical sockets (but then again why would you plug something in a worn electrical socket?).
If you are buying a digital camera and don't want to spend hundreds in throw away batteries, you can't go wrong with this product.
