Be very cautious before you decide to buy this product. The plastic connector between the hose and canister is easy to be broken after usage for a while. The connector is constantly subject to high stress during usage, thus it is easy to be broken. This is an example of a very bad engineering structural design. Panasonic needs to improve it. If you want to replace the broken part, it will cost you $131.93 ( just google Panasonic Hose, MCCG885 #AC94PCPJZV07).

I have several gripes about the Panasonic OptiFlow Lightweight Canister Vacuum. First off, it isn't lightweight when you use it across bare floors. The head is too heavy and there are no other attachments for the use on floors. Also the canister tips over too easily and the vacuum bags are expensive and you can't buy them just anywhere so I end up ordering the bags on a regular basis.

This is my second Panasonic Opti-Flow. I bought one for myself a couple years ago, and liked it so much, I bought one for my mother for Christmas. It's an excellent vacuum. well made, my previous one is going strong. I recommend this vacuum to my friends looking to invest in an excellent vacuum. The only down fall is the price of the bags, but if you shop on Amazon for them, you can usually find them for a lot cheaper than your local retailer.

I really enjoy this vacuum cleaner. The cord is long enough, the unit is lightweight, suction is great, all the controls are on the handle, and to remove the floor attachment takes a quick step on the lever. I would consider another such vacuum cleaner. I like it better than my $1000 Miele.

I've had it for two years and it's still working like brand new. The bags are expensive, but the vacuum has worked well and I've had zero problems with it. It's has great suction and isn't too heavy to pull around. Much nicer than an upright monster.

Light and easy to use. Does a good job. And the bags hold a lot of dirt. Would buy again.

It is heavy. It stopped working after 2.5 years. It seems the motor died completely. If you do not have carpets, you can find a better product.

I paid $325 for this vacuum and it is complete garbage. I went to a store in-town and was told this was better than my Kenmore vac I had for 15 years. This vac fell apart almost immediately.

The suction does work well, but this is a clumsy vac. Not easy to use. The handle is difficult to detach. The cord doesn't retract. I have parts of it taped together.

Panasonic used to make good products, but I guess with everything being exported these days, the quality is no longer there. I had a Panasonic phone that lasted for years. When I upgraded, the new one fell apart within 2 years.

This is such a great fit for my 2 level home. It is lightweight, not too noisy, and picks up at low, medium, and high levels. I can even use it on the tile for quick sweep of crumbs. I love that it is less bulky than the traditional vacuums and it is easier to vacuum stairs and cars with this vacuum than others.
