The Panasonic PV-9D53 is a compact all-in-one TV/DVD combo unit that provides ultimate portability--perfect for taking to the cabin or shipping off to a dorm room. You can even use it to entertain the kids while on the road--it's designed for use with a 12V DC automotive power supply (the cigarette lighter power plug) in addition to household current.
The front-loading DVD player offers playback of a variety of formats, including DVD movies, audio CDs, and CD-R/RW discs formatted with VCD video and MP3 audio. You can connect the PV-9D53 to an external receiver/amplifier via the stereo RCA jacks on the back of the unit so that you can achieve Dolby Digital surround sound (with compatible DVDs).
The PV-9D53 receives standard VHF and UHF broadcast channels and up to 113 cable channels; it comes with a telescopic TV antenna. It has one speaker for mono audio capabilities. The screen measures 9 inches diagonally.
Other features include:
- Coaxial (RF) line-in to receive cable television broadcast
- Coaxial Digital line-out on the back of the set
- One set of line-out audio/video RCA jacks on the back of the set
- One set of line-in audio/video RCA jacks on the front of the set
