I originally purchased a Tripp Lite Mini HDMI cable that turned out to be an Apogee brand that would not work. After I exchanged it for a like item that also would not work I began to suspect there was a problem with the port on my Canon HF100 camcorder. I decided to return the second Apogee cable and order the Panasonic Mini HDMI Cable.

This was a smart move because the Panasonic cable works perfectly. Great pictures on my HDTV and the 9.8 ft. length lets me get back further from the set to operate the camcorder.

Bottom line get a good brand to start with. You'll save yourself a lot of grief.

I purchased this cable to connect my Canon Vixia HD camcorder to my HDTV. The Canon version was more expensive for no apparent reason. Panasonic is a trusted brand which was less than the Canon but more than the no name ones out there so it was a good medium. Makes connecting the camera easy because it's only one cable and the HDMI picture quality crystal clear.

One might expect that the "Panasonic Mini HDMI Cable (9.8 Ft) by Panasonic" would in fact be by Panasonic.

Especially when in the Technical Details, it says the brand is Panasonic.

I read the small print and recognized that it would not come in the retail packaging as shown in the photo, but nothing indicated that it would not be a Panasonic cable.

I passed on their generic 20$ cable, deciding to pay the premium to get the brand-name cable (35$).

Save your money and get the generic cable. Or better yet, avoid this company that misleads its customers.

I've bought one of these cables from "A Days Tech Store", one of the sellers. They say that the cable doesn't come in the original package. But what they don't say is that the cable isn't Panasonic. It's a generic mini-HDMI cable.
Nowhere in the cable was written the Panasonic name. And it was different from the photos of the cable in Panasonic site.
At least they gave me full refund when I complained. But I lost the money I spent shipping the cable back.
Then I bought a cable in a UK store [...] and then finally I got a original cable.

This cable is pricier than some of the competition, but I went for it because of the longer length and confidence in the quality. I use it with a ZS-7 digital camera.

For camera users, make sure your HDMI cable is long enough to be practical. You are probably using it to directly connect the camera to a TV and a short "converter cable" may not cut it.

As you would expect, the Panasonic cable is well built. The picture quality with the HDMI cable is much better than the picture using the composite cable supplied with the camera.

This cable works flawlessly. You don't need the to pay for the more expensive ones.

You would have to be a drug addict to pay this much for an HDMI cable. You can get one that is the exact same thing, right here on Amazon, for literally 1/10th of this price including shipping. I bought that one and it works perfectly. Don't be a newb and pay too much for such a simple item.
