4.0 out of 5 stars Great headphones at a great price!

2.0 out of 5 stars not good for listening loudly
These are not very sensitive headphones (100 db), so there is a lot of noise at even moderate volumes. Other than that, the bass is nice and deep and the price is low. At low volumes, you can hear lots of subtleties in the songs, but as the volume goes up, the noise goes up too.

The only problem I have with these headphones is the cord. It could be of a heavier guage-the original feels a bit flimsy. All in all, for the price they are very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Actually, pretty Fine (Re Write of Old Review), June 15, 2009

I am actually re writing my previous review on these headphones. I have had them now for a couple of months, and have been using them mostly for music, at my computer. The sound quality is pretty amazing. Bass is quite deep, highs are very crisp. These babys rival cans 5 times their price. Don't pass up a set of these if you can still find them for sale. Nice, Very Nice. These are really comfortable headphones, and leak very little sound, even at moderate levels. The bass is acceptable, and the treble sounds soft and natural. The sound stage is not bad for the price paid. I still think the downside still is the distortion at higher volumes, so keep them at low volumes. Oh, by the way, Ive been real careful with the thin cord, it still is OK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't beat for the price, June 29, 2008
This review is from: Panasonic RP-HT560 Monitor Headphones (Electronics)
I picked up a pair of these headphones overseas and they have travelled several thousand miles with me over the last 6 months. There is no wear and tear yet; they actually came apart slightly when stuffed in my carry on but I just snapped them back together. The sound is amazing for the price, they are my first pair of panasonics in a while and I think Ill stick with them if this is the kind of quality and value I can expect throughout their lineup.

These "cans" sound tremendous! In my opinion, right up there with the venerable Koss Pro4AA's but much, much lighter. These aren't audiophile quality but sound great for general and very comfortable listening purposes. The 50mm drivers bring out the music nicely without pumping up the bottom end with a phony "phatness!" The cord's long enough but a little thin, so be careful. For the price these are tough to beat! Enjoy

These headphones were one of 3 choices I had between Skullcandy Sony and Panasonic. I'll be the one to say thank you Panasonic. These headphones aren't only VERY comfortable, but the sound quality is superb for the price. Top notch quality at a bargain, can't ask for much more :D

1.0 out of 5 stars These are a dream and a nightmare, September 3, 2010
This review is from: Panasonic RP-HT560 Monitor Headphones (Electronics)
I am now throwing away my second pair of these headphones. The first pair that I experienced started off wonderful. I was mixing vocals like I'd never done before. all of a sudden, right at the 31st day mark of me purchasing them, here comes the serious distortion on the right side. I took it back to the store that i bought them from and i couldn't return the headphones because I was outside the 30 day return policy. Ok, I really like the sound that I got, so I convinced myself that I just so happen to get the defected pair that was on the shelf. I took my second pair to my studio and began mixing like I had done before. Low and behold, on around the 31st day of me having them, the distortion on the right side came creeping back. WTF!!! I think these things are designed to F up. Rest assure that I will not be waisting my money on these peices of trash again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sound for decent price, June 28, 2009

These headphones would be a great buy even if they cost more than they do. I was concerned about the quality and durability of them since they were so cheap in comparison with other brand leaders (like Bose). They are very high quality, block out surrounding sounds, and deliver a deep, rich, sound.

Playing MP3s with a 320kbps bitrate, and turning the volume to max on my Macbook, they resemble small speakers. You can hear music playing on the headphones in the next room with no problem.

However for those not interesting in destroying their eardrums, they still perform. They are pretty comfortable although your ears will probably get hot and red after a few hours (two).

Overall, definitely recommend for anyone who is on a budget (of up to around $70), but does not want something cheap in quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, April 25, 2009

For years, I have been a huge fan of Sony's MDR-V6. But Panasonic's 560 rival them in fit, looks and sound - and for a fraction of the price. As mentioned else where, the cord is extraordinarily thin and because of that it became the victim of vacuuming incident. Dumb!. I tried to go cheap on their replacement and got the HT227, thinking they might be comparable. Wrong! I'm going back to the 560. As soon as I pay the price for my in attention.
