I used these with an iPod on my daily commute, a two-hour round trip, for news podcasts and music (mostly alternative and ambient electronica). The sound is excellent, not at all 'coloured' or too bassy or bright as some others I tried in the store.

The headphones are very comfortable even after wearing for an hour or more, even though my ears are slightly on the large side, and stick out a bit ;-) They're not noise cancelling, but they cover the ear and do a reasonable job of muffling the outside noise. The cable is a good length, and on the thick side, which helps prevent it tangling up. And I really like the retro design; a pleasant change from all the chunky silver-painted plastic clones from other makers.

The only downside is that the leatherette on the foam cups hardened and started to crack up after about a year and a half of use. (They can be replaced but the parts are expensive enough to make me wonder whether it's worthwhile.)

On the whole, good quality and comfort at a reasonable price.

I bought these headphones for a little less than 2 years, and I dont wear them outside and even barely used them indoors. The point is... I had barely used these headphones and they dont leave the house... but now the side with out the cord attached... has no sound!!! No idea what happened since I doubt I have dropped this thing on anything hard because it's only been in my room which has carpet. These headphones are also not comfortable to wear. I don't know about on a guy, but as a girl, these felt heavy on my ears and gives me a headache if I wear it too long. Definately would not want a headache listening to my beloved music. The only good is that it muffles outside sound a little, but not entirely.
