Customer Reviews

When I do listen to music, the sound quality is acceptable.
Virtual Slew
Again, I especially love the rubber lining on the earbuds, as they help prevent the headphones from slipping out of my ears.
Les
I wear them everyday and I'll admit to being not overly careful.

I've been through many earbuds, both cheap and expensive and the Panasonic RP-HV21 blows them all out of the water. They are very comfortable, even for long periods of time. They have very good sound quality. The built-in clips are a nice feature also. I clip them to my shirt when they are not in use to avoid tangle. Recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good quality ear bud headphones for an inexpensive price. Thank You Panasonic!

The price it's just right, hi quality sound, comfortable ear piece what else would you look for? Very durable, this is my second pair, my first pair I had to replace them because I lost them and I just had to buy them again because i loved them.

I tend to buy a lot of headphones. they get tangled in things, fall out of my ears a lot, or are just plain uncomfortable. I wore a pair of sure E2cs for a while and I loved them but somebody stole them and I am reluctant to purchase another pair at $100.

I purchased these Panasonic earbuds and was very impressed. they are comfortable even for long weating periods. the sound is very good quality for listening to audiobooks and radio and the cord isn't annoylingly long.

the little clips surprised me the most. I never thought I would use them, but I do constantly. I work in a lab and I will often remove one earbud or both and it is very convenient to clip them onto my lab coat for tangle-free safekeeping.

I wish they had in-line volume control, but I am not complaining at this price point. They are great for the $$.

I bought these to replace some Sansa earbuds which were starting to flake-out at the connection.

The Sansa earbuds are pretty highly rated, and these sound noticeably better. I compared them to some recent Apple iPod earbuds, and they also sound better than those (but don't have the mic and other functions). They have a pretty balanced sound with good but not great bass.

They fit very comfortably and securely. I did not mind that these did not have foam pads, and they seemed to breathe better. They have an odd/extra feature in that they can be pinched to either clip together or clip onto something like clothing.

In all, these exceeded my expectations. Hopefully, they will prove durable, but I cannot complain about the price. In case you were wondering, the connector is an angled one. Also, the Amazon picture is not very accurate. They are not hot pink in color, but more of a ruby red. The description says Red. There is a separate version which is a pastel pink.

As a regular I-Pod user, I've never been that unhappy with the standard Apple I-Pod earbuds -- they don't sit terribly well in the ear, but I find the sound and design to be adequate. I've wondered if there is a low-cost alternative, and my wife doesn't like them because they are too big and uncomfortable.

Here is a review of five low-priced alternatives bought on Amazon in March 2010. The story in a nutshell -- all the $8-$10 earbuds are a slight step up from the Apple buds, all the $6 earbuds are a big step down.

JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (Black) (paid ten dollars) (Four stars)
Positives: Good sound, decent comfort, long cord
Negatives: Too long cord, no "slider"
A very solid sound -- much like the Apple buds. These are a great low-cost in-ear alternative to the Apple buds. The sound balance is similar to the Apple's, but a bit crisper and clearer, perhaps due more to the in-ear design than the actual technology. The JBuds ship with three sizes of silicone ear-inserts for different size ears, though I personally find the fit to be awkward and a bit slippery (see SkullCandy review below). A 54" cord was the longest of the ones I tested, and arguably too long. Also, there is no "slider" on the cord to hold the buds together when you are storing them (A very nice feature of the standard Apple buds and others).

They're not like other ear buds in the sense that they have a small clip on the back of the ear buds. It enables you to clip them to clothing and helps them from getting tangled as much as other ear buds tend to. It does NOT interfear with the listening experience or comfort. On the other hand though, if you wear them for too long, they start to hurt your ears because they're so hard and not as squishy as other ear buds. They do seem to have better sound than most other ear buds that I've owned, and have equal sound coming out of each side, so you can listen with one ear bud in and one out. Just so you know, they do NOT exactly match the blue color of the second generation iPod nano or the third generation. Though it comes pretty close for the second generation. They do look pretty strange...
