Its 210 minutes of total recording time gives you ample space to record lectures, classes, or yourself. Organize and edit your recordings in 4 folders that hold up to 99 recordings each. Included PC software allows you to transcribe spoken words to text as well as store and edit audio files on your computer. The RR-US351 also features voice activated recording; just speak into the built-in high-sensitivity microphone and recording begins. The built-in multifuntion LCD panel lets you keep tabs on recording time and battery life, while a built-in jog-dial makes it easy to navigate your recordings. The unit also includes a built-in speaker, an external microphone jack, and a headphone/earphone jack.

I am very disappointed with this product. I bought it for the voice recognition feature and software. I find it will only handle voice recognition in HQ mode which only gives 33 minutes of recording time. Nowhere does it tell me this in any of the promotional material or on the package. I had to use it to find this out and finally found a mention of this limitation deep in the software manual. 33 minutes isn't nearly enough recording time. I returned it for a refund.

True, you have to use the HQ (33 minute) mode for VR, but Standard Play (65 minutes) is great for most of my purposes. I used the RR-US351 to record my Dad's stories shortly before he passed away, then transfered to PC & shared with his grandchildren. Later, I used it with the self-timer mode to help identify a Nile monitor lizard that was terrifying a neighbor.

Note that the included software converts only to bulky WAV, so if you want any kind of compression you'll some other audio processing software. LP mode (210 minutes) does not compress well.
