The front and center channel speakers are made with a bamboo diaphragm which provides a tightly intertwined fiber to deliver greater rigidity and accuracy, resulting in clear reproduction of sounds over a wide frequency range, from massive explosions to metallic clangs. The subwoofer features a Kelton system with a dual diameter structure to deliver a deep powerful bass. The Smart Set-up guide uses the help of GUI navigation to allow users to set up their SC-BT303 home-theater system for optimum performance. The result is being able to stay at home while enjoying a thrilling, incredibly lifelike audio performance that rivals a movie theater. The appeal of Panasonic Blu-ray products goes beyond the breathtaking pictures and sound; the networking functions open the door to new kinds of entertainment fun. The SC-BT303 can connect to the Internet for downloading bonus content available with Blu-ray Discs and for playing Internet games via BD-Live. This connectivity is further enhanced with the addition of VIERA-Cast. VIERA-Cast integrates the Amazon Video-on-Demand (VOD) online movie rental service. The Amazon VOD service joins other content options already available on VIERA-Cast, including videos from You Tube, access to online photos via Picasa Web Albums, financial information from Bloomberg News, as well as local weather updates. The possibilities are virtually endless. It comes with a Universal Dock for iPod, making it easy for iPod users to play their favorite music or video downloads. This system is also Green-friendly.

I bought this system to augment a Panasonic 50" plasma television. Having listened to television speakers for years, the presence, fullness and variety of having a theater sound system is great. Turn it up a little and let the bass speaker pound and movie watching becomes totally involving. It is also fun when sounds like breaking glass move circularly around the speakers. The Blue-ray quality is excellent and you will want to immediately upgrade your Netflix account to have them send you Blue-ray instead of DVD.

The setup is easy and because it is the same brand as my television the integration was also easy. The speakers are in front, on the sides and in the back of the room. The cables were long enough for my medium sized family room. You end up with another mess of wires running around so if you are a neat freak you might want to get a wireless system.

Two small quibbles. 1) The Blue-ray player is slow to respond and it takes quite a while for it to read and start displaying movies. Since this is my first Blue-ray I don't know if it is just this machine or an issue with all of them. 2) I have not been able to configure the system so the theater speakers are automatically used when the television is turned on. You have to change it using the remote - not a big deal but can be confusing when you have to explain to someone to push the "Radio/Ext-In" button on the theater system remote until the display shows "D-IN 1".

A really good product for the price and one that you will be delighted to use when you experience the upgrade from TV speakers.

I have had this system for over a month now and I am glad I bought it. Have not had one problem with it. It has great picture and sound. There is plenty of power in the speakers to knock you back in your chair. Set up was easy. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice blu-ray home theater system.

This system sounds great. The only draw back is the wires coming from the speakers have a panasonic connector which plugs into the blue ray player. The wires for the rear speakers were not long enough so we had to splice in some extra speaker wire so we could still use the panansonic plug.
