Great fun and a good value,

This review is from: Panasonic SC-BT303 Theater System (Electronics)
I bought this system to augment a Panasonic 50" plasma television. Having listened to television speakers for years, the presence, fullness and variety of having a theater sound system is great. Turn it up a little and let the bass speaker pound and movie watching becomes totally involving. It is also fun when sounds like breaking glass move circularly around the speakers. The Blue-ray quality is excellent and you will want to immediately upgrade your Netflix account to have them send you Blue-ray instead of DVD.
The setup is easy and because it is the same brand as my television the integration was also easy. The speakers are in front, on the sides and in the back of the room. The cables were long enough for my medium sized family room. You end up with another mess of wires running around so if you are a neat freak you might want to get a wireless system. Two small quibbles. 1) The Blue-ray player is slow to respond and it takes quite a while for it to read and start displaying movies. Since this is my first Blue-ray I don't know if it is just this machine or an issue with all of them. 2) I have not been able to configure the system so the theater speakers are automatically used when the television is turned on. You have to change it using the remote - not a big deal but can be confusing when you have to explain to someone to push the "Radio/Ext-In" button on the theater system remote until the display shows "D-IN 1". A really good product for the price and one that you will be delighted to use when you experience the upgrade from TV speakers.

I have had this system for over a month now and I am glad I bought it. Have not had one problem with it. It has great picture and sound. There is plenty of power in the speakers to knock you back in your chair. Set up was easy. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice blu-ray home theater system.

This system sounds great. The only draw back is the wires coming from the speakers have a panasonic connector which plugs into the blue ray player. The wires for the rear speakers were not long enough so we had to splice in some extra speaker wire so we could still use the panansonic plug.

I've had the Panasonic SC-BT303 home theater system for a month and it has preformed well. I was a little skeptical of the small size of the subwoofer but after watching some Blu-ray movies and listening to incredible sound coming out of that small package I am very impressed. My original plan was to install 4, 12inch powered subs across the front under the projector screen but I don't think I will bother doing that now after hearing the sound from the subwoofer it came with. The features seem to be a little hard to access but after you have everything set up you really don't have much need to mess with them. Since all the speakers in this system are exactly the same internally ( I opened the boxes to check) I elected to put the tall front speakers in the rear. I really didn't want big speakers cluttering up the front wall with the screen. The 7.1 surround is worth the investment if your room will support it, and I would highly recommend getting the higher wattage unit. Like the SC-BT303.

Good value Blue Ray/Home Theatre system,

The system is pretty much what I expected from reading reviews and checking the specs. Picture is great. Sound is pretty good though does not allow for fine tuning the sound to the type of music you want. Also the iPod display view does not allow flexible scrolling features not displaying the details of the songs on the tv screen. Overall though system is a good value compared to other systems in the same class.

Nothing Bad to say for sure. Sound is good. Set-up was was easy (no instructions necessary except for the surround sound calibrations). Biggest problems came from interface between my own cable box (Time Warner's Atlanta Scientific DVR Box) and the Panasonic System. -But this was not Panasonic's fault -This was Time-Warner's. VieraLink works beautifully. Internet connection works well, and it even picked up and interfaced with my iPod immediately. It so nice to actually get what you paid for... especially these days. Only one gripe (but it's such a small one)... It would be nice if the system interfaced with the iPhone's iPod software as well as it does for the regular iPod/iPod touch. This is more of a request than a complaint though. I didn't even know the system supported iPods until I got it out of the box! It would also be nice if they would just include the wireless speakers feature with the back/side surround sound speakers instead of requiring a separate purchase. I'm normally very critical of products though, so if this is the worst I have to say... It's a great system!

Wierd. Overall, I'm pleased with the system. We have it running with a Panasonic Viera plasma. The first unit we got wouldn't play DVDs or BluRays so we had to send it to Panasonic's warranty center. WHAT A JOKE! Several months, headaches and arguements later, we had a replacement that works great. And we found out that, although this system is advertised as wirelss ready, we'd have to buy two transmitters and two receivers for the 7.1, which is prohibitively expensive. The Viera link with the TV isn't all it's touted to be but at least it eliminates another remote. Again, I think the system isn't up to Panasonic's typical quality but it's a very good system for the price.

The blue ray discs will play for a few minutes then freeze. We love everything else about it but this issue.
