Panasonic SC-EN35 Micro System, XM Radio ready
Because I have had luck in the past with a previous Panasonic Micro System I was eager to update with an XM Ready model. However, this was not what I hoped it would be. It is easy to use and the styling is nice, even more so in person. But, the sound quality is horrible. If you want to listen to talk radio or music just above a whisper you will be fine. Beyond that you will be disappointed. While this may sound like I am an audiophile I am not. The sound was very hollow and no matter what EQ setting I used it did not improve. With more volume came more distortion. You will get just what you pay for. Best of luck.

I bought this item mainly because of it's mp3 input ability.
It is an OK system, but lacks in various areas. 1.The AC input is into the left speaker. Seems like a strange place to connect to the power source. 2. The sound quality controls are not to my liking. There should separate controls for treble and bass. 3. The overall sound quality is not as good as expected. Might work in small room. This is not the system for you if your target is very good sound quality.

It doesn't sound great, but the nice compact design is really a plus. Easy to use remote control. Reads MP3 CDs very well, but no Ipod deck. I am happy enough to recommend for people who don't expect a powerful and very clear sound system.
