This is a good system. Set up was easy and the quality is overall very good. I had it connected to 58inch Panasonic plasma and an HD DVR via the optical connection and it works great. Very happy with the disk changer, the up conversion is not very noticeable as DVD quality is already very good. The front speakers could be smaller, no need to make them so big any longer and the manual could be a bit bigger and more robust. The auto speaker adjustment is not really serious... I love the wirless sub and rear's!

Watch your cable's - the Ez sync feature will only work on Panasonic HDMI cables, or comparable, so get the good stuff! Overall, solid and not overpriced choice for the quality, so full marks on bang for your buck. This system has many features that I will never use. I am having some real trouble leaving my couch now!

I got this to hook up with my Samsung 61" LED DLP TV.
The best feature is that it comes with an optical input so you can connet
the cable DVR/HD receiver to it and get all your TV programs in Digital Dolby surround sound.
Upconversion upto 1080p is nice. we are watching all our DVDs again.
You can't go wrong with this one.
The wireless SW and rear speakers are really good feature.
The sound that comes out of this system is phenomenal. A volume level
30 shakes our home with 21' ceiling to its foundation. who needs the movie theaters when you have this setup in your home

If your system was unable to detect your wireless subwoofer, follow this steps...

1. Ensure all connections are completed.
2. Turn on your wireless subwoofer.
3. While pressing the SKIP BACKWARD from the main unit, press the number 3
button your remote.
4. While P is displayed press I/D SET. Turn off the wireless subwoofer,
then turn it on again.

Thanks to Panasonic Customer Support but I cannot recommend this Home Theater System to other people. This wireless system can cause radio frequency interference to other wireless appliances (phone, routers, laptop, etc.)

There are a lot of home theater packages available, but it was tricky finding one that could do everything we wanted in one purchase that wouldn't break our bank. It has AM as well as FM band radio (I bought a home theater system last year that I returned because it had no AM radio - weird). It came with the iPod accessory doc, so my husband can play music from his iPod nano on this stereo. It has enough connections in the back to allow the TV/cable sound to be played through the stereo on surround sound (in my research not all systems allowed for this). Both the subwoofer and back speakers are wireless which is really important when you have a "Bam-Bam" style 2 year old (keep those wire out of site!). It has a 5 cd/dvd player and ability to connect to the digital TV's and do the upconvert thing (so I've read - we just don't have a high definition TV yet for me to comment on performance). I can't speak to reliability either since we've had this less than a week, but so far it works like a charm. Definitely a system to consider.

I did tons of research on a new HTIB system and got this system with some reservations -- mainly I was worried that the wireless rear speakers might be prone to cut out and not sound very good. But it turns out the wireless rear speakers sound great, as does the wireless subwoofer. I am now thinking about buying one of the less powerful models for my parents for Christmas. That's how satisfied I am with this product.

This was the ultimate solution for me. I needed a system with wireless rear speakers, a digital input, and an upscalling DVD player. This was the only system that covered all three requirements for me. After using it for a while now I am very pleased with the results. The 1080p upscalling on DVDs looks very good on my 50" RPLCD, the wireless speakers have worked flawlessly, and of course the digital input is doing its job giving me proper surround sound from my cable box.

When looking for a HtiB be sure to check for digital inputs, you may be disappointed if you end up with a system that sounds great with DVDs but cannot be taken advantage of by any of your other devices (cable/sat boxes, game systems, etc...).

Pros:
- Digital Input (One optical input)
- Wireless Rear Speaker setup
- Wireless Subwoofer
- 1080p upscale (I have run a few movies and they all look fantastic @ 50")

Cons:
- Tall speakers are not the most aesthetically pleasing things
- Only one digital input (no coaxial digital in, only optical)
- With the wireless rear speakers and sub you need to use two more outlets for power

I've been looking for a home theater in a box for a while and this particular one had everything I was looking for and more. It arrived literally 2 days after I ordered it. The setup was not extremely difficult, though I am technically inclined. But I followed the directions to a T and I had no issues along the way. The sound is very satisfying, and you just can't beat the wireless rear speakers and subwoofer! I do think that the output from the rears can be a bit louder, though you can adjust that a little bit according to your liking. Overall though, the sound is great, the bass is deep and booming and the system just delivers as advertised. You can't beat all the features you get in this out of box system for less than 500 dollars!

If I were to suggest any sort of upgrade, just invest in a better grade of cable that you can buy at any electronics store, and replace the relatively thin and low quality stuff that comes in the box. Enjoy!

Overall, this is a very good product for the price. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem with the wireless system (subwoofer or rear speakers). I did not expect this kind of performance from a HTIB system. Surround system is very good.
I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Have been using this for a week. As noted wireless surround speakers require wires to the wireless control unit (expected that). My purpose was to use as an upgrade for the speakers in my HDTV with DD 5.1 DVR.

Connected by Optical connection (only one input). Thus, will not be able to add a blu-Ray DVD later (!).

Easy setup. The rear speakers seem to be a little weak when in use with TV but the test function (puts out noise by channel) indicates they are working so this must normal. Sound is OK to good. Having the sound via a digital input adds a lot in itself.

For the money, an easy and noticable upgrade to provide better sound to a High Def TV. Most features seem to be there. Biggest downside is absence of multiple digital inputs so limited to one source with the unit.

Very good sound for an all in one system. The bass is actually almost too much(I usually turn it on just 1 or 2 - goes up to 4). The controls are a little difficult to get the hang of (probably due to so many options, which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but with time and practice, I will learn all the options/controls. The AM tuner is weak (can't pick up signals even locally with the supplied AM antenna), but the FM is OK. DVDs look good upconverted to 720p high def. Overall, I'm very happy with this system. Very versatile, sound is very good, and it does everything I expected. I definitely feel that I got my money's worth.
