My husband and I are so pleased with this purchase. For the cost.. it has everything we were looking for and more. The 5-disc DVD player allows us to have both DVDs and Cds in the player ready for watching/listening. I love the fact that I can still listen to FM radio as well as upgrade to XM radio in the future.
My husband loves the fact that he can plug his iPod into the dock, charge it, and play music from it. That was a nice added feature. The set-up took no time at all. Not complicated. We are very happy with this puchase & would recommend it to anyone.

Good sound, not-so-good upconversion,

First, what I like about this system, which I've had for about two weeks now: the audio quality, on TV, DVDs, and FM radio, is good for such a small, inexpensive system; and the iPod dock is a nice touch.
What doesn't impress me so far is the DVD upconversion. I've tried every possible output setting on several DVDs, and they all come out looking jagged and pixelated on my 61" Samsung DLP. I finally switched back to component cables, and they look better. So this probably isn't the best choice if you'll be watching a lot of DVDs on a large HDTV. On the other hand, if you just want better sound from your TV shows, or have a smaller set and won't notice the upconversion problems, this is a good buy for the price.

I picked up the 650 for $80 bucks ~ sick huh? :D
5.1 processing! You hear the monster creeping up behind you!! 1000 watts!! It'll blow you away!! Put on some house music ~ turn it up ~ dance in the streets! Quality is off the hook! Who cares about ipods? I picked up an adapter for <$10 and plug our laptops in!! 1000 watts of youtube and last.fm!! Would I have liked wireless rears? Yeah sure, but thats a $300 system!
