I purchased this for $70 in March 2011, almost at half of its original retail price. At this price level, it's hard to beat. I tried out many different dock speakers before finally deciding on this one, and I am very pleased with it! For its size, it puts out a surprisingly decent, strong, solid sound that's just perfect for bedrooms. This little thing has a respectable bass thump to it, and the quality of mid and high range is equally impressive. As long as it is confined to bedroom size spaces, you can play it loud and not worry about ugly distortion of your music. This unit is defintely not for large open spaces - you will need to spend more for a larger unit that can put out big sound.

The build quality is very good, and as is quite obvious in the pictures, it has an elegant aesthetic design to it, unlike many other dock speakers out there, it does not have a "cheap" look to it. In fact, it's quite the opposite. In my opinion, at the current $70 price range, this is a "best buy."

Great features, I wasn't expecting to be able to access all of the iPod controls on my iPhone from the remote. Sound is nice and full, although having it in the office I don't get to crank it up too often. I also like that I don't have to remove the bumper from my iPhone to set it on the dock, so that's a plus as well. Great value for the cost of this item - very satisfied with this purchase.

The Panasonic SC-SP100 has a nice retro looking design, like a radio from the 50s (or a robots head?). For the rather cheap price, it is very good quality.

The power, volume, surround, and bass buttons are located on the right silver arch, and all (except the volume buttons) light up to indicated when they have been selected.

Sound quality is big and rich, for such a small dock, with crisp pounding bass which also pours out from the arch beneath. There is an audio cable to connect other MP3 players, phones and even your laptop. There is also provision to connect by USB to your PC and sync your iPod. The super skinny remote has a myriad of functions. It controls your iPod fully, from skimming through your albums list (though it takes ages going through my near 2000 album collection), selecting tracks, mute, to even selecting random or repeat mode.

The wee gripe I have is that there is no volume display letting you know how loud or how low the sound is, but that is minor.

I was looking for an Ipod speaker dock for our master bedroom with good sound quality to fill the room and small footprint on the bedside nightstand in sub $100 range. This Panasonic models fit all the criteria I was looking for and I'm very happy with it after 1 month of usage so far. The sound is quite good, and before I purchased this unit, I tested many other docks (in this price range) which sounds distort when turned on loud. The music on this unit sounds crisp and clear.

Negative things are the included audio cord are super short, which makes it quite useless. Also, it comes with a USB port which according to the manual can be plugged as a laptop/computer speaker. Tested on my laptop (Win XP), doesn't work.. tried changing the audio setting but still couldn't get it to work. Anyways.. workaround is to use the sound jack.
