The 1-push, full-open top cover and pop-up disc-eject system simplify disc access and exchange, while Panasonic's own MASH 1-bit digital-to-analog conversion system ensures optimal sound quality. Need more bass? Engage the player's S-XBS circuit for slamming low end.
Playback abilities include 24-track random-access programming; random play; repeat and resume (which picks up where the unit left off when last stopped); and skip/search. An auxiliary analog audio output lets you hook the player up with a stereo system using an optional stereo Y adapter (.125-inch minijack to left/right RCA), and a hold switch prevents accidental starting, stopping, or track skipping during use or transport.
The player offers up to 22 hours of continuous playback with anti-skip protection off and 25 hours with anti-skip protection on using 2 AA batteries (not included). A low-battery indicator warns you when a change is due.
The unit can operate on standard or rechargeable batteries and can even recharge certain batteries by itself--but be aware that the unit's battery-charging feature works only with Panasonic's P-3GAVA/2B or SH-CDB8D rechargeable batteries (no batteries included). If you wish to use the player with a vehicle power adapter, use only model SH-CDC9.
What's in the Box
CD player, a user's manual, over-ear headphones, and an AC power adapter.

Coffee, D & D and the Fallen CD.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Panasonic SL-S360 Portable CD Player with Anti-Shock Memory (Electronics)
Another work day, Dunkin Donuts Java, a toasted Coconut Donut, and John Coltrane on the Portable CD. Walking out of the local D&D I felt a tap on my shoulder. Startled I quickly turned around. A pretty lady was pointing toward the ground. To my amazement and embarrasement the CD player was trailing behind me. The player never skipped a beat. I was totally unaware that the player had fallen out of my CD case. The player is superb. I use it in the car, on the train, while jogging. It has not skipped yet. If you want a reliable, great sounding CD player this is the one.

For the money, this is an excellent player; NO SKIPPING!,

This review is from: Panasonic SL-S360 Portable CD Player with Anti-Shock Memory (Electronics)
This player has the best of all worlds. Unbelieveable battery life (at least 20 hours WITH anti-skip turned on), an absolutely extra-terrestrial anti-skip feature with an amazing 40 sec. memory, plus all the usual programming modes. The quality of the headphones may be less than the best. This is the smallest and slimmest personal cd player I've ever had. You won't know it is in your pocket. PANASONIC DOES IT AGAIN!

Really stands up to the punishment,
By A Customer
This review is from: Panasonic SL-S360 Portable CD Player with Anti-Shock Memory (Electronics)
I was really anxious to test this one out. The old player I had skipped ALL the time. We all know how annoying that is! Well, this unit really stands up to some severe punishment! The only time I got it to skip was when I was running at about 10 mph for over a minute with the unit only sitting in my shorts pocket. The player was flopping hard against my leg which I would not normally let happen. These units may have anti-skip technology; but that doesn't mean that the components can't eventually be thrown out of whack by careless use! When I held the player in my hand, I ran as fast as I could and was shaking it up and down REALLY wildly to the point where I could see the cd stop! Even in doing this, I kept on hearing my tunes! I think the unit and it's easy-to-use features are excellent; but the headphones are WAY to big and funky! The only way I could appreciate the players also excellent sound quality was through purchasing a different set of better sealed, smaller earpieces. Overall, I would quickly and confidently recommend this one to anyone looking for a great cd player to use while working out, running or anything involving lots of bumps, jolts or other harsh movements. This player will help keep you rolling! Another note: My order with Amazon.com came VERY quickly too. Thanks Amazon!
