The rice is nice,

This review is from: Panasonic SR-G06G 3.3 Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer (Kitchen)
Well, as a guy I'm not much for kitchen gadgets, but I do like rice and seared tuna. This little rice cooker makes a perfect one or two cups of medium grain rice every time. Just put some seared tuna from the HyVee on top of that and I have a great dinner. One hint, don't sweat the clean up. Just let the aluminium pan soak with water in it, the rice at the bottom loosens up and it wipe right out. Don't scour or scrape or you ruin the anodized finish on the pan, I have an inexpensive rice paddle from a girl friend....Oh, I've found that the water level is a little low on the pan measure, but I don't presoak my rice the way some folks do, so I need the 2/1 water rice ratio....

Small Dream,
By David G. "David G." (Austin, TX United States) - See all my reviews Cons: Doesn't really make 3.3 cups of uncooked rice. 2.3 is a better estimate. No steamer basket or "keep warm" function. The rice, does, however, stay nicely warm for up to two hours passively.

Its perfect for two or three people. Not too big, not too small. Its makes perfect rice, what more could you want. Just measure out one two or three cups of rice and fill with water to the appropriate line. Before I bought this I checked asian groceries thinking I'd be able to buy a rice maker cheap. What a shock that was, a similar one was $39 plus tax. I bought this one for $15 delivered.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF BUYING!,
This review is from: Panasonic SR-G06G 3.3 Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer (Kitchen)
Ok, I purchased this rice cooker expecting the same level of quality that has made panasonic so popular. And I must say, I am SO disappointed.Pro: - great non-stick, none of your dishes will stick to the pan and washing is a breeze Cons: - the lid has no hole on top. Instead, the design is such that the whole lid wobbles off the pan when the pressure is too high, SPILLING the contents all over the counter. I have had to clean my counter (and all the stuff on it) numerous times, cursing the makers of this rice cooker. -there is a gap between the pan and the body. So when the spillage mentioned above happens, it will leave a sticky coating on the interior of the cooker itself. - again, due to the absence of a hole on top, the residue collects, not around a nice little spot, but around the ENTIRE lid. Summing up, the only reason to buy this cooker would be the pan. And after your first use, you will realize that that is simply not good enough of a reason.

Very cute!,

The first time I used this it boiled over a little bit. But the rice was perfect and fluffy! The bottom didn't burn at all and it is really easy to store. Even though it didn't have a "warm" feature, it kept the rice perfect for an hour after cooking.

Rice burned at the bottom,

Okay for the price, but beware the bottom gets burned and stick to the pan when reheat, not a non stick like the expensive cooker.

I didn't realize how small this cooker was going to be when I ordered it. Despite my initial disappointment in its very small size, I am overall very happy with it's performance and versatility. I have cooked rice & quinoa in it with excellent results and steamed vegetables in it too. It's the perfect size for one or two people and it's a great value.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic SR-G06G 3.3 Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer (Kitchen)
Its a good one for 2 people, the only flaw it has is that it doesn't have "WARM" indicator (orange), it has only one indicator(Cook-Red) and after cooking rice it just turns off. Would have appreciated more if it also has WARM option, but, with this price and Brand Name (PANASONIC)I would recommend it(only if it comes with free shipping/super saver shipping).

The cooker is really smaller than it looks in the picture. It was ideal for 3 grads like us but I am not sure if it will be sufficient for a family. It is convenient to cook though cleaning can be a little tedious.Decent buy.
