I have utilized this Panasonic Keyboard for over 8 years and I was extremely disturbed by the review the ONE reviewer gave it. I simply LOVE the sound of it and no other keyboard can measure up to the full smooth rich sound what it is capable of producing. I have purchased several other keyboards and I can tell you I am ready to take them BACK to the seller and purchase ANOTHER PANASONIC. The other keyboards sound muffled or out of tune to my ear. It has been absolutely perfect for my performances and has earned many additional gigs over the period of time I have owned it. This keyboard can be heard in the midst of a crowd of musicians easily and there is so much more room for raising the roof with this instrument by utilizing Fender AMPs or PA Systems. I have NEVER turned it up to its full potential. It's honestly the best I have ever utilized in my lifetime. The Peavey, also, makes it sound so clear and distinct in any of the many instrument choices and rhythms. I was amazed when I first purchased it and now that I have utilized it for so many years, I am ready to purchase another one, so I can keep one upstairs and one downstairs for immediate use when I want to practice. I truly love it and no other keyboard can ever come close to the sound it delivers.

I'm a game designer, looking for a decent midi keyboard to compose my music on. This music will then be transferred to my PC, ready to be used in whatever game I fancy. At least that was the plan.
A few slight problems- there are no drivers included with this keyboard (nor are there any availiable) and neither do any of my music software programs work with it. But wait...it has a disk drive ! Midi files are small and fit onto a floppy disk easily, so I decided to save my files to disk and then transfer them to my PC. I checked the disk and guess what ? My PC does not recognize the file format (I use Win 98 with a pentium 3 and a good soundblaster). The files it saved were not in the midi (.mid) file format or the standard midi file (.smf) format, much ballyhooed in the instructions- instead, they were in a completely unrecognizable format which I was unable to do anything with. Don't get me wrong; the keyboard itself sounded great, but if you are buying this with the same purpose in mind as I had, then don't bother.
But then again, isn't keyboard -> PC music transfer one of the sole purposes of having a midi keyboard in the first place ? Hence the well-deserved one-star rating.
