I too was disapointed not to see the EER rating listed on amazon. fore those of you who dont now about EER(energy efficancy rating). Basically its a ratio of engery consumed to BTUs. basicly you want the highest number of btus but dont want to buy stock in the power company that the same time. consumer reports recomends a EER ratign for a 5000-6000 btu above 8. 9-10...

I too was disapointed not to see the EER rating listed on amazon. fore those of you who dont now about EER(energy efficancy rating). Basically its a ratio of engery consumed to BTUs. basicly you want the highest number of btus but dont want to buy stock in the power company that the same time. consumer reports recomends a EER ratign for a 5000-6000 btu above 8. 9-10 would be better.****This unit is a 10.5 EER !!!!!!! Which means i can stay cool and not worry about about racking upa big bill. Worth shelling out for this one because. You will get a return with it. Had unti runing in minutes I recieved unit via UPS very timely (Im in Albany,Ny) Tip to people new to airconditiors: window airconditionars work better when installed in windows shaded from the sun(north side of house) I unfornatantly dont have a window north side so im gunna plant a tree south of it to cast a shadow on it.
