Panasonic TC-L37X2 37-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock

I just received this television and am very happy with it for multiple reasons:
1. It's the perfect size for our guest bedroom (approx. 10x12). We tried a 42" plasma but it seemed to take up too much space on the dresser and dominated the room.
2. In my opinion, the picture is better than the plasma we tried (42" Samsung). Plasmas have darker blacks, but the colors just don't pop like they do on the LCD televisions we have (we also have a 52" Samsung LCD in the family room). FYI, we have a 42" Panasonic plasma in our bedroom which I like, so maybe Panasonic just makes a better TV in this price range. Who knows?
3. Set-up was incredibly easy. 8 screws to attach the base to the TV and you're done with that part. The TV leads you through a set-up procedure when you turn it on the first time: setting the language, date/time, selecting/naming input sources, etc.
4. The iPod/iPhone plug-in is a nice add-on. Basically, it's a free throw in and if nothing else, you can use it as a charger for your iPod/iPhone even if you don't want to play music with it.

I would go so far as to recommend this TV for a main television given the overall picture quality and ease of use. For the price, this one is going to be tough to beat.

This Panasonic is an excellent LCD TV. I was considering a 42 inch plasma, but my wife found a nice solid oak TV armoire for our new house. The TC-L37X2 was just the right size, so I went with it. The picture is crisp with great color. My only negative comment would be that the internal speakers are not very loud (they still sound pretty decent). I usually play audio through my surround system anyway, so it's not much of an issue. I would definitely recommend using an external sound system in conjunction with this TV. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I was looking for an affordable TV for the bedroom and stumbled upon this model while surfing Amazon. All the research I did on flat panel TV's indicated that Panasonic is well respected in this arena. So after doing a little more research on this particular model and discovering that Amazon sold it for the lowest price I could find anywhere, I purchased this a week ago and I couldn't be happier.

This is a great TV for the price. I used component cables and the picture is fantastic. The iPod dock is awesome as well. Not only can you listen to the music stored on your iPod, you can also watch videos and movies stored on your iPod - bye, bye DVD player. Other reviews note poor sound quality, but it is not that bad. Sound for just watching the TV is fine, but if you are looking to crank up the tunes played through your iPod you will be disappointed because they are just average, little TV speakers. However, as a TV for my bedroom that only gets turned on in the morning for an hour or so it is a great set at a great price.

This was my first time buying a TV through Amazon so I was a little nervous. I selected Super Saver shipping and expected to receive it the following week, but it was delivered the day after it shipped from Amazon. I placed my order on Tuesday, it shipped Wednesday, and was delivered on Thursday. I am completely satisfied with Amazon's price, shipping, and the TV itself. So much that my next flat panel will be another Panasonic. If you are looking for a second TV you will not be disappointed with this model.

i have a 1 bedroom apartment and this 37 inch is perfect for it. Also I think Panasonic quality is at least equal
to Samsung. A 37 inch LCD tv is at the point where if you go to a 42, it will cost at least 150 to 200 dollars more for a panasonic or samsung. (best quality brands in my opinion) this TV has great sound, I like everything about this TV.

We shopped around a lot for a new bedroom TV in the 37" size range. After a lot of research, this TV got high marks from a lot of folks, so we checked it out by comparison shopping in a lot of stores before buying on line. We have three other Sony Bravia's and one smaller Vizio, all of which are great TV's, but this Panasonic is better than all of them. Picture clarity is superb as is the sound quality (this one also has an IPod dockling port.) Channel changing is very quick to respond, which was a big feature for us. We haven't found any negatives yet, and so far, overall performance has been excellent and what we expected.

Got this because I moved into a new apartment that already had a bracket on the wall for a flatscreen TV with a label that said, "No greater than 37 inches". So I looked for 37-inch models online and compared, and got this one because it was at a reasonable price and had the extra feature of the iPod/iPhone dock. Sometimes I'm driving home from work listening to podcasts and want to plug the iPhone in somewhere at the house to finish listening to it.

I use it mostly with an Apple TV via HDMI (another reason I got a 720p instead of a 1080p) and it looks great. I purchased a Sharp Sound Bar (HTSB500) separately and they work nicely together, but there's one little bug. I linked them with an optical cable (the only all-audio-out option in the TV) and every time the audio goes totally silent, like when I pause the Apple TV, or even when it goes from one song to another, the sound bar stops working for up to 6 seconds, which is rather annoying. I'm guessing the soundbar "turns itself off" when it detects no signal the awakes after hearing it, but the delay can be very annoying. It works fine as long as the audio stream is not interrupted though.

Not sure what else to say about the TV, other than it works great for me.

Let me start of with saying there are hundreds of HDTV's to chose from in many different sizes . If you are looking for something for a study or bedroom this is a great choice. I finalized on this Panasonic because it had a great picture and was priced well. You can get a good price if you shop around or just wait a few months for the next line to start coming out.

Things to consider
1. You will want something with good HD and SD quality. This set delivers in this aspect!
2. Motion blur. Can be detected if you look hard enough in movies with fast sequences but not enough to negatively impact the viewing experience
3. Sound is good for stock 10W speakers.
4. Don't have to worry about burn- in
5. Easy to use remote and menu's, picture adjustment is needed as in all HDTV's but luckily CNET dose that for you.
6. It even turns off your computer (with Windows 7) when you turn off your TV. So if you can setup Windows Media center then its best suited for it.
7. Reliability. I have 2 other Panasonic HDTV's and have had no problems at all. There is a reason Panasonic is rated so high in reliability

Cons:
1. As with most new HDTV's in this price range analog audio is not available.
2. Blacks are not as deep as with there plasma HDTV's but with the black level problems on their recent plasma lines (Check CNET) it may be wise to stick with LCD at this time


Summery: Hard to go wrong with this Panasonic LCD .

I was looking for a 32 inch TV for our guest room for a while and trying to stay within my budget of less than $350. There's a few that I like from Samsung but a bit pricey, the LG's looked good but not that impressive. The reviews on the Vizio were so so, checked them out at Costco and I wasn't convinced. Then I stumbled upon this Panasonic, model TC-32LX2 at Best Buy, had it on sale for $299 a few weeks ago and I missed out. It had solid picture and vivid colors, plus a bonus Ipod dock. I was browsing on Amazon to check on it and it was on sale for $349 at the time. It was by chance that I found out about it's bigger brother, the 37LX2 which was only $30 more! I put in my cart, waited for a while to come down in price and finally pulled the trigger when it was down to $362. A bargain! This TV is excellent for the price. The style is sleek, looks good mounted on the wall. The picture quality is amazing. I have a Samsung 58' Plasma in my Home Theater and it is excellent, and to me the Panasonic is not that far off where I have it, in my guest room where it shines for its size. It is the best bang for the buck!

Received in good timing and was easy to set up... have yet to try it out on gaming consoles. over all it was a good buy.

We have only had this tv a few weeks but so far we are very pleased with it. It received good reviews from Consumer Report which is what determined our choice. Check their recent article.
