Purchased 2 of these sets, one with 3 handsets and one with 4 handsets. My sister and I are both over 60 years old and the large display, ergonomic handling, sound clarity, and easy to follow display instructions are great! Initially became confused with registering the handsets ( the base and initial handset are registered at start-up). You need to place additional handsets on the base in order to register.

Plan on using the phone systems for a long time! Makes phone discussions alot easier!

For the large sized buttons, ease of use, heft, tactile feel, ability to block unwanted callers, functionality, etc.

First, neither the picture or the description depict the battery charger that is included with the handset. Of course, I assume a handset would include a charger, but one thing I have learned on Amazon is to carefully read what is included/not included, etc. so I was leery when there was no mention of the charging station. I ordered just one new unit, saw that it came with the charger unit, then ordered two Panasonic remanufactured units for 40% less cost. Interestingly, the new unit uses a different procedure for 'registering' the unit, than the remainufactured units. The new unit took me about 3 minutes total to register to my existing Panasonic phone system. Try as I might, I could not get the two reman units to register, so I went to Panasonic's website and connected via live chat with "Michael." He walked me through the process until we found the problem (NOT a Panasonic problem) and now I have all units registered. It's a pleasure to actually be able to reach helpful customer service people!

We had a Panasonic phone for 12 years but it was showing its age. Based on reviews we ordered a Vtech. This was a mistake because it had random volume problems. We returned the Vtech and ordered this Panasonic which has been great so far. Our friends say they can actually have a decent conversation with us now. We have a large home so we were disappointed that it could not be expanded to 8 handsets.

Bought these phones as replacements for my mother-in-law, who was having trouble with the small keys and all the commands she had to use for her other set of phones. This set is very simple, and she seems able to understand easier how to get to the phone book list, how to turn up the volume, use the redial and other buttons. She is much happier, and I am a hero. Phew.

I love this phone. I purchased an additional phone with the 2 phone set. I now have 3 phones. All three phones announce who is calling as well as ringing and displaying the name or number. The answering machine is great. Easy to set up. The only negative feature is the computer doesn't always pronounce the name correctly. As an example: When I receive a call from a wireless phone, the computer pronounces "Wireless" as "Weerless". The computers name recognition isn't very smart. Other than that, this phone system is great.

I now own this system for a year and I still think it is great. The font size on the screen is large enough so that I don't have to wear my glasses to see who is calling. I also like the fact that I can retrieve messages from any one of the phones. Great phone. Definitely satisfied.

The unit can only block exact phone numbers. You can not block a range of phone numbers. For example if you wanted to block a caller with a 100 extension numbers, ex. 123-45-67nn, You can't. If you wanted to block an entire area code. You can't. The phone can block up to 30 numbers.

The pronounciation of the name of the caller by the unit is not so hot.

It is loud. You have plenty of volume.

The screen is big and you see who is calling from a distance.

I bought this for my 90 yo father who is very hard of hearing. He had another Panasonic phone set and liked it, except that it was hard to read and he had to turn the speakerphone on and hold it close to hear it. Now, he can hear who's calling (announce function) and it's loud enough to hear across the room on speakerphone. The range is great; he went from 3 base sets to 1 base set and 5 handsets to cover his 4,000 sq. ft. home.

Great handset.

This handset has the largest LCD display and good backlit buttons.

Realizing everyone has opinions, but I'd do the following:

1. Make the Talk button green.

2. Make the hangup button red.

3. Make the Speakerphone button orange.

4. Color differentiate the soft key buttons. Black on black is hard to see.

I couldn't find the instructions for the speed dial keys but I assume they program just like the base.

The intercom dialing procedure is really too long. Menu-INT-scroll-select.
