I just bought this set after extensive research. The price is excellent, & the reliability very good from what I have read. The picture quality is astonishing, its like looking out a window especially on HD. It has 2 HDMI inputs, PC input & PIP. It has an excellent sound system and the picture is a 10. Spend the few hundred and get the 600U not the 60U. Have the TV calibrated for the best pic. This is the first set I have ever bought that I am completely satisfied with.

I have had this TV for about 3 weeks now and it is amazing. The picture when watching DirecTV is absolutely amazing. During the Ohio State-Florida BCS championship game, the picture came in so amazingly clear that you could see every drop of sweat on the players and each blade of grass came in crystal clear and vibrant. Watching nature programs that I normally wouldn't watch (because of their fantastic picture), this TV really shines. Anything from water to sunsets, to wildebeasts migrating, looks amazing on this TV.

Even standard definition programming looks pretty good on this TV, but once you see the HD picture, it's hard to go back.

I have this TV hooked up to my Xbox 360 and this HD-DVD add-on and both look spectacular. I am very impressed.

I highly recommend this TV. The pricing is favorable, especially when you compare it to other similarly sized plasma models. This TV can also be had for just a little more than some high end DLP and LCD TVs.

In addition to the picture quality, the sound on this TV is great. Bass in particular is pretty strong. The TV has built-in subwoofers and they are very effective.

If you are worried about Image Burn forget it. No image burns. Image retention is an issue with all Plasmas. This TV has an awesome picture quality. Very elegant and beautiful design. It takes at least two people to mount it on the supplied Pedestal. Diagonal 58 inch is bigger than one would think.
Pros: Awesome Picture Quality.
Powerful True Surround. Don't even need home theater. Loud and Clear.

Cons: Perhaps 1080P-not really a Con.

Tried to order this TV through Amazon site which said it would actually be sold by "LDCMART" for $3500. After almost a week, Amazon called me to say the TV was on backorder and the order had been cancelled. Went back on site to see that LCDMART had raised their price to $4100. Coincidence or am I just being paranoid. Anyway, Amazon and LCD Mart get a big strike on this one. Ended up ordering through J&R Music.

**Update** Had this TV for 3 weeks now. I also own a 42" Panasonic plasma and the picture difference on this new one is AMAZING! Great colors; great sound. Haven't even bothered hooking up the surround yet but I will. Buy this TV if you can afford it.

THIS HDTV IS EVERY THING I wanted. I love the CabeCARD option, saves me the price of renting a digital box from COMCAST. Any web-sites CLAIMING to have it in stock should be reliable.

IT'S a discontinued model and should be bought VIA PHONE, rather than the INTERNET. Talk to a real person and get their stock quantity. I did ONE-CALL without AMAZON because the price was the same.

Bought 2, one for the den and one for the bedroom, Incredible picture and easy to use. Remote could be better but with all the remote combo's on the market who cares. 1080p? who needs it. Great deal at 1999.00 each. should have bought 4 more for the rest of the house.

I tried 7 different TV's, including LCD & the new DLP's. This TV is the BEST. Picture is Amazing, audio is very good. Absolutly LOVE IT!

I was worried about the reflection of Plasmas. No Problem at all, especially since I watch most of my TV at night.

A MUST BUY!!!

I tried to buy this item from a seller named 'lovekars' (listed in Amazon's Market Place). After exchanging several emails with the seller through Amazon's service to get answers to some of my questions ans seller agreeing to sell it at the stated price I put the order on last sunday (07/15/2007) giving out my name, shipping details and qty as asked for by the seller hoping to get the transaction initiated by the seller using Amazon's Payment System (As suggested by him). Even after a repeated email I did not get any response from the seller - either confirming the sale or denying it for any reason whatsoever he may have. I am not sure why such unscrupulous sellers are in Amazon's Market Place. They might take any buyer for a ride at any stage of the transaction and delivery of goods and products sold through the Amazon's Market Place.

I tried to buy this TV from Amazon last Sunday. 2 days after my order and confirmation and a call from my credit card asking if the or was OK, my order was magically canceled with no explanation. I would strongly suggest following every step of the buying process looking for fishy things.
Personally it is some kind of bait and switch because I originally went to Amazon through a link for a very low price. If Amazon is going to post incorrect pricing they should be required to meet them just like a brick and morter.
