Product Description

With its 1920 x 1080 resolution, the HD panel on Panasonic plasmas displays beautiful images without having to perform pixel conversion for the 1080p video signals processed by the video circuitry1. These dazzling images can be further enjoyed with the stunning detail and beauty of a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc(TM) player. Movie images are some of the most difficult for TV displays to reproduce. By working closely with movie studios for many years and applying research by the Panasonic Hollywood Lab, Studio Reference Mode on Panasonic plasma TVs enables the replication of colors that was originally intended by the director-exactly the way they are seen on reference monitors in professional film editing rooms. Pro-Setting Mode offers the precise, highly detailed adjustment of image quality to suit personal preferences. Just the touch of a button on the remote executes setting adjustments such as tint, brightness, contour emphasis, gamma compensation and black expansion, which would otherwise require the use of special equipment to accomplish. EZ Sync(TM) HDAVI Control lets you operate all of your home theater components by pressing a single button on your TV's remote control. GalleryPlayer(R) allows you to enjoy the world's finest high definition art and photography on your Panasonic HD plasma TV. Use the free GalleryPlayer(R) software to purchase and download the images you like, and then play them on your Panasonic HDTV right from your PC. Sign-up is easy and free. Plus, you get a free collection of high definition images to enjoy right away in your home or office. Share your JPEG photos taken with a Lumix(R) digital camera on your Panasonic plasma using the built-in SD card slot2. Simply insert the SD card, which is about the size of a postage stamp, into the SD slot on the TV and enjoy a photo slideshow with Photo Viewer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Panasonic 58 inch Plasma 1080P HDTV, November 15, 2007

Product is big and beautiful and delivers a brilliant picture .....best picture of standard broadcasts (non HD) can be achieved by connecting a good high quality Audio/Video receiver via HDMI 1.3 connection. This setup upgrades the normal standard cable broadcast to near HD. Suggestion: Onkyo (I installed an Onkyo SR-875) has several receivers that will do this. Sit within 7 feet from this screen and its like looking through a window!!

4.0 out of 5 stars No HDMI and dual Picture, November 5, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TH-58PZ750U 58" Plasma Tv (Electronics)
The picture is fabulous and the set up is fairly straightforward.
I bought this tv because of the dual picture feature and the 3 hdmi ports. What I did not know was that the hdmi and dual picture are incompatible. If the tv is set up through hdmi then you can't use the dual picture feature. Whats up with that?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent TV - Rich Colors, January 3, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TH-58PZ750U 58" Plasma Tv (Electronics)
I bought this TV from Amazon, order filled by Vanns. I got the TV delivered at my door by Yellow Freight within 5 days of buying the TV. The Yellow freight driver put it at the front door, and I pushed it to my family room. Very pleased with the purchase experience.

The TV has rich vibrant colors, and is a pleasure to watch. I do not have HD cable yet - so SD is okay. However, when I connect the Wii to it, I am floored with the quality of images - I never felt great about Wii's graphics, but this TV forces me to change my opinion (Imagine playing XBox or PS on this !!). The sound is very good - at 25% volume, it is very loud and clear.

I had this TV for less than 24 hours, but am very happy so far. I will update this after a few months of use.

** If you are buying it online, get some help, as this TV is heavy - it is about 175 lbs with Stand ***
