These are absolutely amazing. Believe it or not, one of my favorite part about them is the fact that the glasses are rechargeable. Everything comes/syncs together seamlessly when using it with my p50gt30 and I can watch several full movies before even thinking about having to recharge them. Admittedly, when I was watching a movie a few weeks ago, the glasses I was using ran out of battery "juice" but having that extra pair helped, especially since it was not in use. The glasses charge up quickly and even without the Avatar disc being included, this product is totally worth it!

As an FYI, one of the changes made from the second generation to this one (the third) is that the glasses seem to fit better. I think this is because they adjusted the nose piece upward so it doesn't sit as high on your nose/face. Also, these new glasses have a feature/button that enables you to watch 3d movies in 2d. This is a great new addition, especially since one of my friends gets headaches when watching 3d after too long so he has been unable to watch some of the movies we watch. Now, with the push of a button, he can switch the 3d movie to 2d thanks to these glasses.

PS- It looks like they now have a special offering this for free with select panasonic TVs so I highly recommend that, if you are looking for a TV, you consider the value of these glasses!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do NOT buy this unless you have a Panasonic 3D TV, this will NOT work on other models. Make sure you do research when you buy a 3D TV so that you don't end up buying useless sets of glasses.

Packaging:
This set comes pretty much how you see it. It's a small plastic box with two sets of glasses and the Avatar 3D Bluray. Contrary to what others might be saying, this set DOES include charging cables for the glasses. The cables are located in two white boxes located directly behind the glasses.

Glasses:
I give the glasses 4 1/2 stars out of 5. They are comfortable, weight about as much as a feather, and they hold a charge like a champ. You can literally charge the glasses for 10 minutes and they'll work for HOURS, in fact you could probably watch Avatar three times in a row without any issues, that's how good they are. The only reason I drop the glasses down half a star is because they feel cheap. They are made very thin and so light weight that you feel like you are going to break them, but they are actually very sturdy. I dropped one set on my hardwood floor by accident without any issues or marks.

Avatar:
The movie in 3D is breathtaking. Since it runs at a smaller resolution than in theaters and has active-shutter technology, it actually looks BETTER than when I saw it in IMAX 3D. The world of Pandora feels and looks alive as it bounces out of the screen at you. The reason this set drops a star is because beyond the movie, they offer NOTHING on this bluray. There are no special features what so ever, not even a making-of or commentary. You would think for the price of the bundle you would at least get something more than just the movie, but I guess the point of the bundle was for the two glasses with the movie as a "bonus".

Amazing glasses, they not only look good but feel great. No other 3D glasses can beat these. I had the second generation glasses which produced a very dark tint and they felt heavy, too high on my nose, too far from my eyes and irritated my ears after a while. Panasonic corrected these issues: the tint is much ligher so your movie/games appear brighter, they are so light that I don't even feel them while wearing, good nose positioning, closer to your eyes so you don't get light from above or below and no more irritation. Incredible glasses, a must for movie watchers and gamers. I can now enjoy hours of 3D content without the hassle. Panasonic opted not to make a 3rd gen plastic case like they did with the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen do not fit in the 2nd gen case for those interested.

Very good 3d glasses. Very clear and amazing 3d effect without any problems like others have. Comfortable to wear with prescription glasses. Excellent design.

All in all these glasses seem to be a huge improvement over the 2nd generation ones in size and weight. It will remain to be seen if the batteries will hold up as well as the second gen. rechargeables do. The weight and size will make them much easier to use for the grandchildren as 3D increases its options. Only complaint is that the seller lists lens cases 'in the box'. A tad bit misleading unless you consider cardboard sleeves to be cases. I wouldn't let the lack of cases be a stumbling block, though. It won't be that hard to sew a sleeve to protect the lenses when not in use.

Super lightweight. Only thing is they only come in medium. Fits good on my head but I would've liked to have the ability to order a small for the misses and a large for me. Plus this is the only way you are getting Avatar on 3D unless you buy used.

Bought this starter kit with two 'M' size glasses. They fits for all our family members (for me tall man, my wife and even for our 4 year son). Very comfortable and lightweight, live long from on charge, fast charge from USB then. So - almost perfect product to enjoy 3D on your plasma or LCD.

It's light, bright and awesome. Using it on 50" VT20 (yes not VT30 not VT25). The 2D mode in glasses is a good addition. Avatar is a great movie and happy to watch it again.

The glasses are very light when wearing, they charge quickly, and receive an excellant quality 3d picture. I am very happy with the product also getting Avitar 3D along with the purchase is an excellant bonus.

Got these free with my GT30 TV. They work great. I read reviews that said you can't watch Panasonic 3D TV past 10.5' away. Well with these you can! My TV is 50" about 15-17' away and they work perfect. I bought a off brand from Amazon too and they only reach the 10.5' I read about. Recommend these, they are light weight and comfortable.
