It includes a VBG130 battery, and usually sells for less than the battery alone.
The case is okay... not especially convenient or roomy, but not bad looking. Some will like it. I just use the battery.

This kit comes with a case and battery, it is that simple. Hi Def Camcorder starter kit? Okay.... Well the battery does fit Panasonic's great new camcorder HDC-HS300! What is terrific is that the battery (VBG130) sells ALONE for 45-60 dollars. Here you get it at J&R for 39 dollars with ostensibly a free case! The case is basic but useful.

Solid case, with lots of different internal pockets to store spare batteries, small tripods etc. The best point is, it includes battery, which sells for almost the price of the whole kit. Yet the "Starting kit" product name is misleading. If you expect tripods, lens filters, card readers etc. inside - look somewhere else. Here you get only case and battery. But that's what I was looking for. Bought it from "Computer Brain" through Amazon. Insanely fast shipment - waited 1 day and I got it.
