The item listed is for a genuine Panasonic branded battery, clearly, but the items I received were generic, unbranded batteries. I should have read the reviews. Other reviewers have complained about Commercial Solutions Consulting and they are right. The reviews for the company itself tell the same story about its other products. This company lies about what it is offering.

It's a battery. It's higher capacity and it's quite a bit deeper than the standard battery so it sticks out at the back of the camcorder. Significantly extends the record duration - which is what you buy it for really. You'd probably get tired holding the camcorder before the battery died. Charges relatively quickly on the SD9 camcorder charger with no special adapters.

Bought this extra battery for the Panasonic HDC-HS250-K HHD HD Camcorder I bought for my father. It does indeed work for the HS250, and the price is alot cheaper here than ordering directly from Panasonic. I haven't really encountered any problems with it, and it does last roughly 3 hours.

Its heavier than the one 1 hour battery that comes with the camera and makes the camera back heavy. Other than the weight, it packs a lotta juice for hours of recording!

For those of you interested, i found, ordered, and received the VW-VH04K adapter kit needed to use the VW-VBG260 battery. I ordered the kit from [...] in Florida.Just put VW-VH04K in the search box and it will take you right to the page.I recently bought the Panasonic SDR-H60P and then ordered the 3 hour battery, only to be stuck like others have.I found the adapter at about 3 places, ranging in price from the high 70's to mid 90's,i settled on beachaudio since one site didn't take Amex.Good luck.

It was advertized as genuine Panasonic part. It says that the order is fulfilled for AMAZON but sold by Commercial Solutions Consulting - I wonder why Amazon would team up such a disingenuous company. I receive the battery in a plastic bag (does not resemble anything like it is packed in Japan or by Panasonic) - no sign of any Panasonic name or where it is made, it just says for "VW-VBG 260"!!!

Beware before buying it from this vendor.

The "Panasonic VW-VBG260 3 Hour Rechargeable Battery Pack for Compatible Panasonic Camcorders" that I purchased from amazon.com (fulfilled by Commercial Solutions Consulting) was not a *Panasonic battery* - it was a generic battery that came in just a plastic bag (no packaging whatsoever) & states "FOR VW-VBG260(T)" on the bottom of it. ...nothing on the amazon.com site stated that - the listing even stated "NEW".

I would not purchase this item from Commercial Solutions Consulting.

Caroline writes that you need a battery pack holder kit in order to use this battery, which is not completely true. The description above says this battery is made for the Panasonic HDC-SD9, HDC-HS9, and HDC-SX5. If you have one of these cameras, you do not need any kit. If you have another camera then you do...but there is probably another battery specifically for those cameras. I have an HS9 and this battery has worked great with it!

If you do NOT want to take the risk of losing your most precious moments... then you have to have this battery!

I have 2 of these battery's and i've shot 3 event's and i'm finding
that i get about 2 hrs out of these batterys with zooming in and out for most of my event.
