It is accurate and repeatable. I compared it several times to a manual instrument. Both agreed within a couple of points each time. It takes about 30 seconds for a measurement. The test ranges for me are: Systolic 115 - 140 mm Hg and Diastolic: 70 -90 mm Hg

1.0 out of 5 stars inaccurate & inconsistent
My monitor was consistently inconsistent, and wildly inaccurate. The readings varied widely, and only one out of 10 was even close. Since other reviewers had a very different experience, I would conclude that there is wide quality variability between different units.

Wrist Positioning: You can position your wrist at the heart level using the same method used during the pledge of allegiance.I find this technique reliable and has given me outstanding repeatability in readings. Not only it eliminates the need to support the elbow since the arm is resting on your chest, but is very comfortable.

I bought this product one year back for my father who has high bp problem. And it has helped a lot as now he can check his bp without going to the doctor and in case it is bit above normal, he start taking immediate care. I recommend it whole heartedly.

5.0 out of 5 stars easy to use blood pressure monitor, September 30, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic Wrist-worn Blood Pressure Monitor EW3032S
this monitor is very easy to use with a velcroe strap which fits around anyone's left wrist. the numbers are easy to read, being quite large. it is very lightweight and gives an easy pressure when inflated. as far as i can tell, the readouts seem to be pretty accurate. i like this better than an upper arm style or a finger style monitor. this monitor folds up very nicely into a small storage box and can be carried in your purse if you are a woman. if you follow the instructions, such as waiting five minutes between readings, it does well. also, it did not work on my right arm or my leg accurately, but the information did say to use the left arm. i think it is as good as any other product that is on the market which is sold for the same use. now, that is my own opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and essential..., July 9, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic Wrist-worn Blood Pressure Monitor EW3032S
...if you need to have your BP monitored in order to get it down, then this is for you. For my money it's just as accurate as any device used by health care professionals and the problem with always having your BP checked in appointments with Drs and Nurses is the anxiety about the appointment and it's outcome usually shoots your pressure up! With this you can monitor exercise, standing, lying, and sleeping pressures. You can monitor the changes due to an excersise regime or diet and you can report back to your Dr with accurate records and wide ranging ones. May just save you having to take antihypertensives which are no walk in the park!

I tested this item during some weeks, almost every day. It is pretty accurate, because results of double-triple checks always the same (+- 3%).
It very nice to use.
Generally, it is real panasonic-brand-level.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good monitoring tool, August 21, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic Wrist-worn Blood Pressure Monitor EW3032S
I am a semi-retired RN and choose to monitor my blood pressure prior to medication administration. This is the easiest self monitoring device I have seen. I compare it with an older more cumbersome unit I have and find that because of it's simplicity of use, I am more inclined to use it. It is sturdy, easy to read and affordably priced.

I got this BP monitor for my mother who has high Blood Pressure. The readings are accurate, very easy to use.It is so cutely packaged too,it is so comfortable to travel around with. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the wrist cuff is a bit standardized. One of my aunts checked her BP(she is a fairly large lady) and the cuff closed but left only a little way.But for my mother who is an average sized person,it is good.Overall,a great monitor for a reasonable price.

This unit is simple to use and easy to read. It only took about 4 tries before I was able to get consistent results (I take my blood pressure four times in the space of an hour, each morning). I took it to the doctor's office, and got nearly the same result he did (plus or minus two points), so I feel confident in using this unit to monitor my blood pressure on an on-going basis.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, but read instructions..., August 11, 2005

Great product, but I obtained improper readings at first as I did not read the instructions on proper placement of your arm when taking a reading. Once I corrected that, my readings became accurate.
