Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 - 1 User [OLD VERSION]

Panda started out fine. It found 5 viruses, unfortunately it couldn't do anything with them. It then asked me if I wanted to continue or finish, continue I said. Panda went and found those same 5 viruses it couldn't do anything with. Would I like to save this report it asked? You bet, just insert a floppy disk it said. This is Panda Pro 2009 asking for a floppy disk. Well I bet when I re-boot we can do some good. Lost that bet, my computer won't even start now. No problem, I remember reading about their great tech support. Well it sounds real good, unfortunately after explaining in great detail what had happened in an email I got nothing, not even an auto-reply. I spent money, wasted a bunch of time and Panda rendered my computer completely useless. It seems to have worked for a lot of people, I wish it had worked for me.

Panda Antivirus Pro is rated Good by many, we have had no problems with this software, updates regularly and does not intrude or bog down computer has kept our computers free of infections and spyware even malware removed with Panda Antivirus was easy to install about ten minutes we have had many different Antivirus programs and this one compares to all the better programs out there on the market today, allows me to work around it while it scans my system, you can even scedule this program to scan when you scedule it for your time not just what the manufacture sets as a time to scan this makes it easy when you don't want any scanning being performed while you are busy or need to leave in a hurry and can not attend your computer while it scans

I am no computer expert, yet I can set up Panda and run a virus scan all by myself! It is simple to use and very efficient. I have never had a problem with Panda and have used it for several years and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable program!

I ordered this product after seeing how cheap it was and how good the reviews were. That was a huge mistake on my part. From the second I installed the product it gave me problems. It froze my computer after restarting several times and slowed it's overall performance, though it's normally an exceptionally fast computer. It also didn't want to update so after several failed attempts to remedy these problems I decided to uninstall the program. That's when my problem got even worse. No matter what I did, I could not get this antivirus to uninstall. I ended up having to do a system restore, which did fix the problem, but this antivirus was just more trouble than it was worth (which wasn't much to begin with). I wouldn't reccomend this product to anyone.

The program itself installed in what has become the expected manner, a few minor glitches two reboots were the limit of the hoops. Once installed, the tpsrv.exe portion of the program would crash whenever my browser of choice (firefox, on xp system, both up to date) was initiated. Occasionally it would die of no noticeably associated causes.

I put up with the behavior for several days, took a day to research related problems of other users, found no real resolutions, and uninstalled. Currently now running 'clamwin'; arguable not as involved a program as Panda Pro, but totally painless to install and run.

I was pleased with this product. It immediately detected that I had a partitioned hard drive and gave me the option of checking all three partitions. Didn't find any virus (which frankly I had hoped for; to explain some problems) but deleted tons of spyware which did eliminate most of my problems on my main (XP) partition. I would recommend this product. 4 Stars and not 5 because already it's little pop-ups ("Do you want to upgrade?") are becoming annoying.

I was looking for good protection for my laptop. That is what I got with Panda and at a good price

I found this program easy to load, easy to use, and a very good antivirus.
