Very durable. Arrived in a timely manner. Perfect for a kid's ipod. I would definitely recommend this item. Lots of colors to choose from too.

This design is exactly what I was looking for. I have a bedside dock/clock that my iTouch 5 (1st gen) stays in the most when I'm at home. But, when I go out, my iTouch acts as my cell since I use a VOIP. And that's where I use a case, since the iTouch won't seat on the dock/clock connector properly with ANY case I've tried.

The clip part of this case fits over the outer rubber shell of the actual case, and you "squeeze" the two ends to release it from the case: if you don't want a clip on the case for whatever reason. This part of the clip mechanism looks/feels pretty durable, and that's most important, so it should last taking off/putting on as long as you're not overly rough doing it each time. The clip swivels, and can be "locked" open to act as a longitudinal stand for the iTouch. However, the "locking" part of the clip IS likely to wear out/break with repeated use in this fashion. And, I found it unnecessary to use it, as the clip - if you swivel it just a little - acts as a stand without having to lock it open. So, a minor point against it; but, it doesn't detract from functionality of the "stand" part of the clip.

The case itself is actually made up of two parts: the inner, hard-plastic, case; and, the outer, rubber, sheath that gives it great protection as well being a non-slip cover that will not slip out of your hands. The inner case is a typical hard-plastic construction of two halves with a built in clear-shield that will protect your screen while still allowing full functionality/touch-sensitive use. I would NOT use the press-on/peel-off screen protector they send you - or even any you might have put on before getting this case - as too many layers of "protection" will reduce the touch sensitivity of your device. Besides, the hard-clear plastic shield built into this case is a LOT better protection than the film-style screen protectors.

The outer, rubber, part of the case is quite easy to handle. You stretch it to put it over the hard - inner - case, and stretch it to take it off. I would do this as gently as you can each time. Not because it might rip or tear, but because you don't want it to stretch out and become ill-fitting over time. The really nice thing about this cover is that WHEN the inner hard-plastic case no longer stays clipped together on its own (always happens eventually) this outer rubber casing will allow it to still be used because it will hold the two inner halves of the inner case together. The inner case's button molds and openings are exactly matched on the outer rubber case, and all function perfectly fine. In fact there are covered openings/molding for buttons/functions I don't have on my 1st gen model that I'm assuming are there on latter generations of the iTouch 5.

This case, with the rubber outer casing, is definitely proof against rain. I would say it is also safe against brief submersion - say a sudden fall into a filled sink or pool, and a quick recovery. ALL the openings are covered by a rubber flip open/close attached to the case. However, I would NOT bet on a LONG submersion in water eventually damaging the device inside. But, for the rain (no matter how heavy), or a quick slip into a sink or tub, I'll say the design will keep it from damage as long as you don't have any of the coverings left open.

For anyone using their i-device 5-series (Touch, Phone) for anything serious rather than status, this casing is the one to get at a reasonable price. And, the color-availability can even address that somewhat. You can go the more expensive route (Otter-you-know-who), but I don't think it's necessary. I have one of the Otter-you-know-who covers for my tablet. And, while the material/construction may be heavier/more solid, I don't think the 2x to 3x price tag worth it. Although, if money isn't a concern of yours, you could get the higher priced one (if you're a die-hard fan) and get this one for just the clip: since I don't think the higher-priced one comes with a clip like this one does. They should work together from what the pics look like.

This is a great case and it protected my iPod very well. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it get dirty really fast and the screen protector gets scratched up easily

I feel much more secure using my iPod in the gym thanks to this case. I shattered a previous iPod face, so I was a little gun shy. Now I feel my device is safe.

I'm very disappointed in this case. It's not waterproof, there are several holes in the case that don't have a rubber stopper (the the one that covers the camera). The plastic part that covers the screen (attached to the black plastic shell) causes the screen to have lines all over it. And lastly, the seam on the rubber shell piece isn't a clean cut. There are bits of rubber that stick up and I worry they'll tear if I try to remove them. It's difficult to see in the picture, but you can see the lines on the screen. I bought two of these cases for two new iPods, which is how I was able to compare them in the picture.

My son needed a new case for his ipod and this was a good price. It includes everything he needs to protect his ipod and fits securely on the ipod. The only downside is it is hard to remove once you put it on, making it hard to put on a docking station. I am fine with it being hard to remove because it keeps my son from taking it off and then dropping his ipod. Overall, we are happy with it.

Has entry spots for wAter at the speaker. The flaps can get annoying especially the back one with taking pictures or when putting into pockets. But decent case I wall. Saved my ipod lots of time
