I got the PanDigital as a gift from my folks when I joined the USMC & I love it!

I got the PanDigital E-Reader from my folks when I joined the USMC, so I could have access to plenty of books to read, keep in touch with friends via Facebook, email, upload & email photos (check my regular email), download & play music, and still be able to write something in a doc. file if needed. The PanDigital has done all of that and more, for me! The Wi-Fi is great for downloading anything off of the 'net I need and having the Android OS has made it very easy to find anything I want or need in a market download file/item! I think you cannot go wrong for the price and then for it to have a full color multimedia screen!! I had some movies already on an SD card and I popped it in and no problem to watch a movie. Then I went on a site and went ahead and downloaded a movie...No problem!

After considering the $250 Nook color ereader, I happily chanced upon the Pandigital. I bought a used one for $81, but it was in Perfect condition. After many failures, I did some internet research and finally succeeded in upgrading the firmware to the latest version. Besides being an excellent ereader (I can read for hours without any eye strain), I can also surf the net and get my email, though this isn't its main strength. I bought a $6 screen protector on eBay after I noticed that I had scratched the screen slightly with just my (unpolished) fingernail.
Its weaknesses compared to a Kindle are relatively short battery life (maybe 6 hours w/o WiFi) and that it is a little heavier. However, these things didn't stop me from giving it a 5-star rating. Couldn't be happier with this wonderful little device.
March 2012 update: For some reason, the Wi-Fi stopped working. I searched the internet for fixes, thinking I would probably have to uninstall and then reinstall the firmware. However, I was relieved to find the fix and it was extremely simple. Go to Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset. This restored my Wi-Fi capability. The Home screen background changed and I had to reinstall some Android apps, but that was very easy to do and now my Pandigital is perfect again. Hope this helps anyone who experienced the same loss of Wi-Fi.

I love my new E-Reader. It is my first and has Internet access for email and browsing capabilities. It is easy to use and seems to stay charged well. The only thing that is a negative in my book is that it is slightly heavy to me. Books can be heavier also so I just try to imagine reading a hard back book and it seems to work. If you are looking for something light this may not be the e-reader for you. Other than the weight, the color is awesome, it's easy to use, seems more like a tablet than an e-reader, plays music, allows picture uploads for viewing pictures, has a slot for an sd card and so you can insert whatever you can download onto an sd card to read on your Novel. You can change the background (wall paper) and edit your settings for display quite easily. All in all for the price paid this gets 5 stars from me. The only negative thing I can possibly write is about the weight of the reader...but you do get accustomed to that. :-)

I could not download anything from slideme marketplace, and did not like the weight of the reader. Would be good for someone older.

A great lil product I just wished they'd give more info I cant find any covers to fit it it fits nothing and the company has been bought out so there is no customer support.
