As a mother who screens everything her 11-year-old daughter reads, I was very happy to read and then pass on the fourth book in Carolyn Hennesy's Pandora series. It took me back to when I first started getting excited about Greek mythology and fueled my interest in travelling to Greece - and from there, the world! Lovely series for pre-teens. In the words of my daughter,

"The book, Pandora Gets Heart, by Carolyn Hennesy, continues the series which started when Pandora opened a box, and released a number of evils. Now, she must return them to their proper place in the box. This time, she must capture Lust and go back in time to find a golden apple. On the way, Pandora meets her father and Zeus on a whirlwind of adventure. I would recommend this book to any girl who is into Greek mythology and adventure with a touch of comedy. Personally, I thought it was great, especially at the beginning when Iole has a birthday party and catches the evil, Overeating, in a piece of meat. The only thing I had an issue with was the end, but you have to read it to find out!!!"

This book was fabolous it inspires me to go out there and try new things.I love greek mythology and to whoever does, i highly recommend this book.

As Hera says in the final chapters of this book, things are on a whole new level. First,Iole grows up a little. She was my favorite character from the beggining, and it was nice to see her reach new heights. Second, Hera gets nastier. I don't want to spoil anything, but you will definetley hate her more than ever. Third, Pandora's quest reaches new heights. With six evils in the box, she's finally making some progress. Finally, Alcie. I don't know wether you found her as annoying as I did, with her constant disabilities, selfishness, fruit swearing, and general uselessness, but she really redeems herself in this book, from beginning to end. All in all, you should definetly read this epic book.

As usual, delving into the latest adventures of Pandora and her friends, has been a great enjoyment. From the opening scenes of Iole worrying about her friends having forgotten her special day - her Maiden Day (thirteenth birthday) to Alcie's selfless act to save her friends and further the mission to return all the evils back to the box. I enjoyed watching Iole begin to mature and make more of a place for herself with her friends, stand up for herself and take risks. It was good to see Pandy question the decisions she made in letting her friends join her, even though she acknowledged she wouldn't be able to have gotten as far as she had without them and their strengths to help her. And to see Alcie sacrifice her very life for her friends and the sake of the mission. It took me three days to read this amazing story - I couldn't put it down - and I cannot wait to see where the next adventure takes the friends. And I have faith in the fact that Alcie will be around . . . I am sure Hades will right the wrong set on her by Hera very soon!!

I loved this book so so so much. I was thrilled through the whole book 'till the end. I was heartbroken, as Alcie was probably my fav character (and yes, she is annoying but hilarious and just like yours truly)I think that books these days have WAY to many deaths. This past year half of the books I read have had someone dead! Also, it is very interesting how different series show Hera. Take this book and the Heroes of Olympus. They show different points of view, Hera loves Jason but not so much for Pandy. I hope you take my word that this is de BEST SERIES EVER!

This book was pretty good..and then there's the end. I don't want to spoul anything,but other than that it was pretty good.
