Book Description

January 6, 2009
Author Dan Travis, a specialist on notorious unsolved mysteries, is on a book tour when a cryptic message plunges him into a silent war hinging on an incriminating data file. Finding it is Travis' only hope for surviving a deadly cross country chase. But to do so, he must discover the link between an extraordinary cover-up by Big Pharma and the assassination of JFK. The key lies within a secret underground of doctors sworn to an ancient oath. James Sheridan's crackling prose and driving narrative make this novel a white-knuckle ride through America's hidden corridors of power.

Editorial Reviews

Review

I could not put it down. Behind this breakneck-speed story lies a sobering message for us all. --Jonathan Javitt, M.D., Adjunct professor, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine

Just when I thought I was ahead of him, Sheridan expertly yanked another rug. Shocks, re-shocks and goosebumps! The Pandora Prescription is a big winner. --Thomas B. Sawyer, Award-winning screenwriter and bestselling Author, The Sixteenth Man and No Place to Run

Award-winning copywriter James Sheridan presents The Pandora Prescription, a suspenseful novel about a deadly secret kept by giant pharmaceutical companies, and the ruthless lengths to which they will go to protect it. Well-known author Dan Travis is on a book tour when a mysterious message from a stranger in distress changes his life forever. Drawn irrevocably into a secretive war, his only hope for survival is to find an incriminating data file before time runs out. The quest to uncover a link between a remorseless medical cover-up and a massive assassination conspiracy will take him across the country, and amid a hidden society of doctors who swore an ancient oath. A captivating, tautly written thriller for the twenty-first century. --Michael Dunford, The Midwest Book Review

5.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately True, November 5, 2007
By
Over the last eighteen months, I have read huge amounts of material to know that this book reveals the truth about the medical industry. I have read this material because my daughters suffer from cancer and I wanted to find out how to help them.

After reading the one star reviews, I had to express my feelings as the one star reviewers cast doubts about the truth as presented in this book on the subject of how certain government agencies and the medical industry work togrther to limit our freedom of choice in health care.

This being said, the book is an excellent read and its real value is that people who have a hard time reading research material because it's dry will be exhilarated by the fast paced drama that sucks you into not wanting to put the book down until you find out the next event affecting the characters. Read it - if you have doubts about the truth put before you - research on your own and you will no longer have those doubts

4.0 out of 5 stars A good fast read..., November 29, 2007

Really enjoyed this book. It was a quick page turner with a lot of anticipation and great build up. Very much like a Da Vinci Code type story with great non-fiction interwoven into a good conspiracy and action dynamic. Fun and thought provoking read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Must Read', even if you trust our government, November 24, 2007
By
S. Bailey (Little Rock, AR) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is the most compelling book I've read in a long time - maybe ever - since it is supposed to be based on facts readily available with a little research. I don't doubt for a second that the underlying premise of the book is one (or several) of the most insidious, and true, cover-ups our government has ever foisted on the American public, and continues to this day in a variety of ways which we should be totally outraged about and demand policy changes. After reading this book, I researched a couple of points it brought out and the questions they posed: what is the medical/pharmaceutical industry buying as the largest Congressional lobby, and why does the FDA accept any money whatsoever from that same industry for 'fast track' approvals on new drugs?
