3.0 out of 5 stars Good plot. Plausible premise. Flat characters.
The plot is fast moving with short compact chapters. The premise that there is motivation for the medical community and big pharmaceuticals to purposely not find a cure for cancer is very plausible.
It's a shame that the characters are so two dimensional. I felt no real empathy or disdain for any of the characters. If Sheridan had spent a little more time...

5.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately True, November 5, 2007
By
Over the last eighteen months, I have read huge amounts of material to know that this book reveals the truth about the medical industry. I have read this material because my daughters suffer from cancer and I wanted to find out how to help them.

After reading the one star reviews, I had to express my feelings as the one star reviewers cast doubts about the truth as presented in this book on the subject of how certain government agencies and the medical industry work togrther to limit our freedom of choice in health care.

This being said, the book is an excellent read and its real value is that people who have a hard time reading research material because it's dry will be exhilarated by the fast paced drama that sucks you into not wanting to put the book down until you find out the next event affecting the characters. Read it - if you have doubts about the truth put before you - research on your own and you will no longer have those doubts

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fiction, December 1, 2007

It is excellent fiction loaded with way too much truth. Only the story line is fictional. Unfortunately, the pharmacutical industry is the American public's worst enemy.

If you liked Dan Brown's book, "Davinci Code," you will LOVE this book. The author uses an exciting story to disseminate shocking truths about the #1 cure for cancer you may not have heard of and why you probably haven't heard of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good fast read..., November 29, 2007

Really enjoyed this book. It was a quick page turner with a lot of anticipation and great build up. Very much like a Da Vinci Code type story with great non-fiction interwoven into a good conspiracy and action dynamic. Fun and thought provoking read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Must Read', even if you trust our government, November 24, 2007
By

(REAL NAME)
This is the most compelling book I've read in a long time - maybe ever - since it is supposed to be based on facts readily available with a little research. I don't doubt for a second that the underlying premise of the book is one (or several) of the most insidious, and true, cover-ups our government has ever foisted on the American public, and continues to this day in a variety of ways which we should be totally outraged about and demand policy changes. After reading this book, I researched a couple of points it brought out and the questions they posed: what is the medical/pharmaceutical industry buying as the largest Congressional lobby, and why does the FDA accept any money whatsoever from that same industry for 'fast track' approvals on new drugs?

5.0 out of 5 stars A good yet disturbing read, November 15, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I found this book to be very intersting and well written with all of its twists and turns right up to the end. I love mysteries so this book fullfilled all of my requirements. But having lost too many people to cancer I find the facts in the novel disturbing. I do believe that there is a reason we do not have a cure for cancer at our fingertips and I believe this was brought out in this book. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not the answers to a cure are known but there is no money to be made in it yet so we will continue to lose loved ones so money can be made by the medical and pharmaceutical companies. Maybe as more things are written the people will start demanding answers and we can start a path to doing thing the right way not just the profitable way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, November 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Really good story, at times hard to put down. I don't subscribe to all the conspiracy theory's but I know what I'll be buying if the doctor ever tells me I have cancer. Hard to believe this could be true, most of the history can be verified makes you wonder what the hell is really going on.TRUST NO ONE !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely riveting!, November 22, 2007
From the moment I started this book I was unable to put it down. Having spent 35 years in health care, I can only say that the people that don't believe this have been living under a rock. When I finished reading it I wanted to go out on a street corner and pass out copies. It is factual, and I applaud Mr. Sheridan for having the courage to write this. It's a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars What side will you be on?, October 14, 2007
By
jaded (Orlando, FL USA) - See all my reviews
I loved this book - great research and factual detail with great storytelling combine and suck you into the story. The brilliant thing about this book is that it is based on actual facts, and tells the untold story of a vast medical conspiracy that is scary. What side will you be on after you read this?

The story twists and turns and spits you at at the end of it like a turbulent roller coaster. If you enjoyed the Da Vinci Code, you will love this book.
