I have used this particular powdered lubricant for years. I use it when the locks to my house become hard to work. I put a little bit on the key, insert the key into the lock and the lock works great again. I was having a hard time finding it at the local hardware store and was pleasantly surprised when I saw it on Amazon. The price was good and it was shipped and received promptly without my ever having to leave my house!!!

When you have the need to make surfaces interact together more smoothly with less friction, this is your item. At times you can't use a liquid product for various reasons. this powdered graphite has many applications. I'm currently using mine to lubricate the ballhead camera mount on a tripod. It allows me to more fluidly pan & rotate the camera's view with far less jerky scene transitions.

I recently had my house power-washed, but the door knobs weren't sufficiently covered. The next day, it was nearly impossible to lock and unlock them, and I was very lucky not to have broken off the key while trying. After doing a little research, I decided to avoid gel-based lubricants, as I didn't want the residue to stay on my keys. I found this graphite powder as an alternative. I really wasn't expecting it to work as well as it did, as now I can insert and turn the key in all the door locks just as easily as I used to. Took maybe a minute for each lock, and no residue left on the keys. Highly recommended!

I'm a cop and I use this product to keep my hand cuffs in good working order. I'm sure there are many uses for this stuff but for what I use it for its great! I recommend this product.

Bought this to take the squeaks out of my metal fireplace insert. I has two metal doors where the inner hinge (part that rubs) was slightly rusted. An oil or silicon lube would have worked but then evaporated or become sticky after being heated by the fire. This graphite worked great. Better than expected even: no more squeaks!

There is one tradeoff: the little tube this comes in. Since this is one of the less-expensive graphite products like this, the little tube it comes in is very basic. It works by having a small amount of air in the plastic tube. By squeezing, the air comes out and puffs along an amount of the powdered graphite. It's slightly inaccurate. I put down a piece of paper to catch the excess powder that missed the target and that worked ok to contain it. I wish it had a longer, flexible tube to direct the powder where I want it more accurately. Oh well, I just kept squeezing until I thought I had enough.

As I said before, this powdered graphite worked great for me. There is still a bunch left in the bottle for something else if I need. I squirted a bunch into some of my door locks that were too stiff and now they have a much smoother action. WD40 couldn't do that when I tried it last year.

Have a rough, sticky, or squeaky metal joint, and you don't want to pay too much? Get this, it'll probably do the job.

Works great in areas you don't want grease but want some lubrication. Dry powder graphite is great in small areas that are either hard to get grease into or you don't want grease in. Like printers and small stuff. Anyhow, this product works fine and is a good price for the size of tube you get.

I got this graphite lube after a recommendation from my maintenance man.

It works really well to keep locks working flawlessly and prevents them from jamming. I put this on all my keyholes and now my keys go in and turn without problems. Sometimes they'd jam up when it's really cold outside.

I also used it on my bike locks as I keep my bikes outside and they're exposed to the elements of rain and snow and dirt. The lube keeps the bike lock working smoothly and have had no problems so far.
My last bike lock that I didn't lube up used to jam all the time after rainstorms and one day I couldn't get my key out. Haven't had that problem since with my new lock (same model) and using the graphite lube

I purchased this because our keys were sticking in our locks. I decided something needed to happen before we dropped all our groceries trying to get our door open.

Some of the Positives of the graphite lubricant is the ease of use. Just open the bottle, give a squeeze, and then work your key around. Works great!

You will like this if you have door locks that stick, car locks, any lock!

You won't like this if you are Chuck Norris and don't need keys. You just use your foot.
