I bought TWO pens, making it a 16 panel area for our 70 lb. pooch. We had to stabilize the pen on three large pieces of wood paneling for the floor so that she wouldn't dig underneath. We put a tarp over the top to provide shade and a green carpeting material on top of the wood so she'd be comfortable. It works well, but the doorway is a little skinny, ok for a dog, but a person has to go in occasionally to change food and water, etc. A single GoGo pen wouldn't have been enough room for our dog, but two is just fine. It's a good pen and works well for our needs when we're trailering.

This x-pens are GREAT! They are perfect for travelers and even great to use at home. We bought 2 of the 8 panel pens for our 3 whippets to use in RV. They fold flat and have a carry handle. The pin is geniuos for connecting 2 or more pens together. You can configure the shape to fit many different sized areas which is very handy in RV parks. We also bought the 4x4 cover but we haven't used that a lot. The cover will only work if you have it set up in a 4x4. With 2 connected we have done a covered 4x4 area that flares out into an octagon. It worked fine. With 2 pens connected you can't really do a long/narrow run as it isn't real stable. We have found it mmost stable in a large octagon. One of our whippets had to have orthopedic surgery on her knee which required 8 weeks of keeping her down. We put one in the living room & one in the bedroom & it was our saving grace in her recovery. I don't know how we gone so long without these. We are condidering adding another for our next trip. They are great & priced well at amazon compared to pet supply chains!

We bought this pen last year to contain our bulldog after two cruciate ligament replacements. We filled it with lots of padding, sheep skins, food and water bowls, and kept it in our living room so that she could be with the rest of the family. It was such a big hit that it has become a permanent part of the decor and both our dogs use it to nap in or just to chill out. Love it!
