It is a great deal for the price. If your not looking to do anything to crazy it's a lot of fun. The picture come out awesome. However, you can't zoom in a great deal or the effect goes away. The only downfall is when you use the flash it sometimes makes a shadow at the bottom of the shot because it picks up the end of the lens. But that can easily be fixed. Its defiantly something for beginners looking to have fun.

worst purchase ever, came in pieces. I had to assemble the damned thing. The front lens doesn't even screw on because the threads are all stripped out. It may have been a used item????? I had asked for credit for the purchase and did not get any feedback.

For basic macro shots on your kit 18-55, this wokrs great... but on the Nikon 55-300, there's just too much haze and spherical aberration (heavy coma) to get the kind of shots that the Raynox 250 will give you all the livelong day.

For the price, I think this is a great buy.
it attaches easily and takes fun pictures. Nothing for a professional of course.
More for kids or adults who want a fish eye lens but don't want to spend 1000's of dollars on one.
the only complaint I have is that a shadow appears at the bottom of all the pictures when flash is on.
Keep flash off and the problem gets eliminated.

I recently purchased a fish eye macro lens for my camera. I love the effect, especially when photographing my favorite Great Lake.

this item works great as macro or wide angle lens. takes a little getting use to for getting the correct shot, but other than that you can get great interesting angels and views of subjects.
