This review is from: .. 0.42x HD Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens For The Nikon D5000, D3000 Digital SLR Cameras Which Have Any Of These (18-55mm, 55-200mm, 50mm) Nikon Lenses (Electronics)
I ordered this lens as a temporary thing until I saved up enough money to buy a real lens, not an attatcment. Upon opening the package I realized that it did not fit my d3000's kit lens. There is an adaptor ring in the package that is required to make it fit 18-55 mm lenses. The lens itself works well, but when using it their is a definite shadow in my photos because the flash isn't powerful enough. I'd recomend buying a slave flash or a nikon sb400 before purchasing this product.

OK, I bought this off eBay and paid $38 + $7 shipping. I should have looked it up on Amazon. I paid too much. Stupid me.
So, I was looking through eBay about a month ago, and I came across this interesting little gem. .42x Wide Macro Fisheye lens for NIKON This isn't what I would call a serious lens. If you want a good Fisheye, you are going to pay $$$ for it. This is more of a novelty lens. It doesn't even attach to your camera--you screw it onto an existing lens like you might a filter. They claimed 8 element optics--yeah right. The "MACRO" option was just an extension tube with the word "MACRO" printed on it. I mean, it works, but I'd hardly call that a feature. Anyway, I took it for a test spin. I screwed it onto a 35mm Tokina Macro lens. The pictures are fun. I put the images on Facebook. You can view them even if you aren't on Facebook, assuming Amazon lets me post the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=326566&id=607988131&l=0437c92c6d Anyway, I give it a thumbs up. For $20, it's kind of fun. And it's cheaper than buying one of those Lomography cameras, well, assuming you already have a camera.

I receieved this lens as a gift, that being said.. I do think this is worth around 25-30 dollars if you can snag it at that price. The build of the lens is pretty solid, the macro and actual fisheye twist together well. The adapter is a bit of a different story, it fits well and correctly, it will sometimes get wound up tight on the macro and you will have to work with it a bit to get it off. It would not be an issue if the supplied lens cap fit with the adapter attached, but it only fits when the adapter is off. One other mild annoyance is that when using the built in camera flash there is a dark spot at the bottom of your photos as the lens eats a bit of the flash with its size. There is also an outside ring, that does seemingly nothing but allow the front lens cap to attach to the lens.. I am not sure why the manufacture chose to do this instead of making the cap just a bit smaller. Lastly, I use a Nikon D5000 incase anyone is also wondering.

this was a good product except for the fact that the ring needed to put it on my camera didnt come with it. it said it was included but it was no where to be found. i emailed the email they provided and there was no reply. luckily the ring was only an additional 6 bucks. i mean 6 bucks is 6 bucks. they should of emailed me back and sent one.
overall, its good for what i paid for.

pretty good lens. watch using the built in flash though. this can give a dark ring at the bottom of the picture as the lens is blocking the light.

I got this product delivered before the actual day I was suppose to get it. Before I opened my packpage, my expectations were low, but I was willing to test it out. I was IMPRESSED to receive this product, the quality was amazing and everything that I wanted was right in the package. You have to be careful on screwing the adapter because its thin, but overall, I love it. This lens is definitely HD. If you're looking for an intense fisheye, this is right for you.

I have tried this on two different lenses. Item says it fits Nikon D5000, that is incorrect. I tried it both with the lens adapter included and without.... Item itself, I don't know quality because I can't use it.

This one looked ok, but when you start using it with your lenses, it does not produce any clear image, all fussy. I tried with three of my lenses, none of them worked well with this, Wont recommend it. Go for quality and pricy one rather going to cheap and wasting your money for nothing.

This is a great product and a great purchase to make! The attachment lens gives a great fisheye effect without spending hundreds of dollars on a real fisheye lens. It is perfect for shots with a lot of light, but when the flash is on indoors for low light situations, there is a visible shadow of the lens. However, for the price it is completely worth it!!
